Great hat that combines moderate eye protection from the sun and maximum bug resistance. I live, hunt and fish in Alaska where the mosquito is jokingly said to be our State bird. Often enjoying the outdoors fully comes down to using excessive chemicals reapplied to the skin all day long or using a solution like the bug bucket. I suggest the bug bucket for anyone looking for a simple and safer chemical free solution.

One Dimensional For Buggy Conditions Only.
I was hoping this bucket hat would provide sun, bugs and light precipitation protection. Bug protection only! Bug netting does not wear properly under the brim when it is not used and with no chin strap the hat is not secure for windy conditions. Trying to avoid the wider brim hats for thru hiking, however it seems unavoidable.

Great Fly Fishing Addition
The item runs big and the netting isn't the easiest to see through. Though most net products are similar I believe.
