All in all its a good bergen so I'm just focussing on the things that I'm a bit irrittated by. The straps squeak, which I'm getting used to blocking out. The waist pocket zips are not easy to close they do not slide easily and must be wiggled to close on the move. Why oh why did you make that side strap red. Only an issue for tactical use I admit. Out with the fabric dye! The rain cover doesn't cover enough of the bergen and definetly not if you have a sleep matt fitted. It leaves large openenings at the side for rain to collect inside the cover. Even with the back set to largest the shoulder straps do not come far enough over my shoulders for the perfect fit. Nearly but not quite there on someone 196cm but with average not Marine standard upper body coondition. The side stuff pockets cant be accessed on the move as the compression strap tensionsare over the top of them. I could run with the straps a bit loose but then wouldn't have the confidence that items wouldn't fallout because they have a large acces point at the bottom. They would have been better off lower opening to guarantee the contents security. I would have to take the bergen off to access the contents but at least I would be certain things were still there. Above the snow line I can't afford to stuff my hatt and snow mitts in and HOPE they stay there. Water bladder space hook is too low and given the width of the bladder pocket they would have been better off putting 2 hooks in so that I could put 2xslim camelbak bladders in. This comment is probably more about the fact that there are no bladders on the market that properly utilise bladder pockets on any bergens I have looked at. When fully loaded the pack centre of gravity is too far back from the spine. I would have preffered a wider main body or detachable large side packs rather than the big lump added to the rear.
