Maiden Voyage Good
Once we got the hang of it, they are easy to unfold and fold. The weight is great. My husband had rotator cuff surgery, which ended our ability to put our 40+ lb kayaks on the roof of our Subaru. They are stable and easy to paddle (we got skegs). They fill a niche for affordable, lightweight boats and are as described. The reason for a 4 rather than a five is my rear end was wet at the end of the paddle. This did not happen with my old boat, nor does it happen with my pack canoe. We’ve only been out once so far, so maybe that will change with more padding.

Best Purchase Ever!
Got my kayak about 2 months ago. So far I have used it to go fishing twice in the Eastern Sierra (Mammoth Lakes). Setup only takes a few minutes and launching from the shore is easy. There’s plenty of room for my tackle box, rod/reel, backpack, net, basket, etc. Accessories I’d recommend are: rail clip to hold the oar (discovered on Etsy), the padded seat cushion and backrest (Oru), a 5lb mushroom anchor (Amazon), and an oar tether (Oru). The kayak is plenty stable and fully rigid (even in unexpected choppy conditions). I got the combo with the oar, backpack, footrest, and fin. The footrest can be stowed to make more legroom once you’re anchored. With the cost of rental at the lake, this kayak has now paid for itself. Being able to get on the lake as early as I like is a huge advantage for securing my favorite spots.

Gold Star
Love this product! It’s been a breeze learning to set it up, it’s super stable on the water, and it’s always getting me that extra attention with people either commenting on the color or just how cool it is during assembly/disassembly. The Only downside; I would consider maybe pre-folding the kayak a handful of times, the bow is RReally firm and if you don’t fold it just right you may leave some light lines from it bending in the wrong spot.

Smooth Ride
I absolutely LOVE my new Oru Lake Sport Kayak! It's so easy to set up and and to transport and to get out on the water! It's comfortable to paddle and easy to clean. I know I'll be getting a lot of use out of it!

Easy To Transport And Set Up
This is a great boat for quick (or long) getaways when you want something light and easy to transport. I’m a former sea kayaking instructor who is now landlocked and enjoying lakes and mellow rivers. I’m used to a more narrow and longer kayak, but the Lake has traditional kayaks beat in convenience. I’ll be paddling more this year simply because the Lake is supremely portable.
