The Oven Is Great And Makes Tasty Pizza, But It's Not The Easiest Thing To Master. . .

I'm learning and it takes time. I'm following various guides. I'm learning about peels and dough. First pizza, dough was hard to stretch. Pizza turned out smallBurnt the crust on one side because I couldn't turn it fast enough. Then bought a bamboo peel, a turning peel and individual proofing containers. Still having issues on how to best stretch dough. Still a small pizza, but not burnt this time. I'm charring my pizza oven, bought a pizza brush. Turning peel a plus. Third pizza, final proofing was done on a plate under plastic wrap. Got my best rise yet, my largest pizza yet, though my least round pizza. I singed my bamboo peel. I can't remember if I laughed it or removed it with the bamboo peel. I'm guessing you should not use the bamboo peel in the oven but only to serve. Besides items listed above, I've bought the infrared thermometer and the dough balls. I want to eventually make my own dough, but I figure this was easier to get started. The dough balls are easy to work with (I think). I have questions about unfreezing them and getting them to rise. . . too much, too little? The Thermometer I think is unnecessary unless you are having a party or are in a hurry. So the oven itself is great. It's easy, fast and convenient. When I feel a bit more comfortable, I'll invite people over and . . .

Great Pizza Oven!

I love my new Ooni pizza oven! I have used an electric indoor pizza oven for years and the outdoor Ooni Koda 16 is so much better! My oven arrived quickly and was very easy to set up. The oven heats up pretty quickly and was not hard to clean up afterward. My first time using it was a bit of an adjustment over the electric indoor oven, but by the second pizza, I feel like I had mastered it. I can't wait to make more pizzas!
