I bought these as an alternative to heavier hiking boots. I opted for the waterproof model, even though they were heavier than the standard model. They are very comfortable and well cushioned. I'm sure that they will serve me will this spring and summer.

I bought these to wear during Photo workshops where we walk sometimes more than 4 miles a day and are on rough terrain for landscape photos. I’ve already checked them out by walking 2 miles in a local park and they are comfortable and have soft souls that absorb impact. I don’t feel like their cover some, heavy boots that some hiking shoes resemble. Very happy with the purchase. The treads are quite deep so if you walk in mud, you’re gonna have to leave the shoes outside to dry and then get the mud out of them before you go indoors. I am size 11.5 inches so I bought size 12 to get the extra width. It was just right.

Stylish look; nicest and most expensive non-dress shoe I’ve ever owned, but maybe worth it. We’ll see. They are stiff now and I’ve rubbed a blister, but that’s normal.
