1080 15s Not An Improvement Over Previous 1080s

The 1080 15 is a well made shoe, but it doesn't meet my needs for every day comfort and extra cushioning. I use 1080s for walking, and the 1080 13 was perfect for the comfort and cushioning i need throughout all areas—toe, midsole, heel. The 1080 14 was less so, but it still worked. The 15 does not It it seems like a different style of shoe, more of a support rather than neutral shoe, somewhat narrowerand less comfortable and less cushioning in the toolbox and heel. I see it as a different type or model of shoe and not an extension or improvement of the 1080s unfortunately.

Best 1080s Yet

Only 60 miles with 2 half marathons on them so far yet they promise to be the best 1080s I've run yet - and NB 1080s beat out all other neutral wide running shoes I've tried, particularly Asics, Nike, Brooks, and Mizuno. Feels like I'm running on clouds and the contributed to substantive course PRs in my first to half marathons in them. We'll see if that trend continues next weekend!

I purchased the NB 1080v15 shoes mostly because they come in wide sizes. I'm a long time NB loyalist because of that fact. I've also just moved to a more urban area so running on cement sidewalks and paths is a must. These shoes have the cushioning I need.
