Better Than The Thermarest
Purchased recently and slept one night. Straight foam pad is still not for me, but more comfortable that my thermarest foam pad for sure. Makes an awesome lounge spot, air pad protector for cowboy camping, chair, and probably much more. The foam pads are endlessly useful.

Great Pad
I double this thing up underneath my inflatable pad at night, and bring it with during the day for glassing sessions & naps. Durable, lightweight, compact, and cushiony. Good work on this one Nemo.

My Favorite Piece Of Gear!
More than just a sleeping pad!! This is one of my favorite pieces of gear because it has so many uses. Yoga mat, place to set my clothes when I get to camp, doormat/kneepad for the tent, seatpad, kickstand for my backpack, check. I love it!!

Great Versatile Pad That Earns It's Place
A tough and fail-proof option that truly shines as a multipurpose pad. I use this all the time for field work in all conditions, and often as a sit pad at camp or spending the day at the climbing crag. It works great as a protective underlayer beneath inflatable pads whenever on rocky ground or for extra insulation in colder weather (silver side up to help reflect heat). It is not particularly plush on its own as a side sleeper, but I still find it more comfortable that other similar pads in a pinch. Truly dependable and versatile!

Awesome Pad
These are great pads! They are light and add insulation and padding in rocky areas. I don’t know why I fought taking one of these back packing with me, world of difference.

Convenient
I just started overnight backpacking and sometimes I just don’t want to mess with an inflatable pad. This fits the bill, lightweight, easy set up, easy to carry, clean, can use as a sitting mat. Worth the convenience. Comfort will depend on the individual.

Lightweight, Durable, And Versatile – A Must-have
The Nemo Switchback sleeping pad has become a staple in my gear. It’s perfect on its own for warmer, minimalist trips and pairs seamlessly with my Nemo Longbow Alpine for extra insulation in colder conditions. The closed-cell foam design is lightweight, durable, and surprisingly comfortable. I love how easy it is to pack....whether strapped outside my pack or tucked inside. The accordion-style fold makes setup and breakdown a breeze. If you want a reliable, adaptable pad that balances comfort and packability, the Switchback is a top choice!

Too Many Uses!
I have a couple of these and I take one on all my adventures. I also volunteer with search and rescue and we are required to carry one because of the multitude of different uses. I suppose it's original intended use is as a sleep pad. I have used it alone like that several times and it works as expected if you sleep on it alone. Now let's get into a few other common uses that I've found for it. Lay it out to kneel down in snow and dig through your bag and keep your knees off the cold ground, for a seat while taking g a snack break on the trail, for an extra insulating layer under an inflatable sleep pad, to protect your inflatable from punctures, i cut one up to add some extra padding on a pack once, i also cut pieces to make a padded belt for a home made sled once, I've also cut up an old one to make small sit pads. They are cheap and very useful not to mention super light weight. Just get one and throw it on your pack. You won't regret it.
