Amazing Tent!

Amazing quality, the weight is great for the size of tent. Lots of head room and space. Great upgrade to my gear!

Good Tent

I really love the tent, only thing is that I wish it came with a footprint.

Excellent Tent!

Recently took this on its first climbing/camping trip with me. It held up great through so wet and cold nights. Landing zone is such a great addition, and all of the extra tie downs are great. The inside of the tent is a true apartment with amenities.

Innovation Win Again!

I’ve had a Bungalow 4P for car camping and festivals for a decade. I recently purchased the Osmo Dagger 2P to replace an older backpacking tent in the same weight category and took it out on it’s first trip two nights ago. First impressions: Fabric is very lightweight, soft and seems very durable. I have no doubt that it will be. Setup is a breeze for one person. Since there is added vestibule space that requires two additional stakes ( that come with the tent ) it’s just something extra to bring and setup, so minor things to get used to. You do need an additional 2 stakes ( that do not come with the tent ), for the two lower points for better airflow especially if it’s humid and/or rainy weather. So, 10 stakes total if anyone is wondering, 4 for the corners, 4 for the vestibules and 2 for the head and feet where the logo is. I honestly thought the “nightlight pocket” was going to be a bit of a gimmick, but after throwing my headlamp in there, I was very well surprised at how well the orange fabric disperses the light inside the tent. I will now be using this feature every time instead of just wearing my headlamp inside which I’ve always done previously. The landing zone, I brought with me, but did not end up using it. I think this will be more beneficial in rainy/muddy/snowy weather and the other night it was bone dry. I very much like the more muted fabric color when I’m in the tent as the sunlight is hitting it when I’m waking up in the morning. It’s not too harsh/intense as the eyes adjust to daylight. One nit picky thing I was unsure about was the pole bag. The way I pack is, I stuff the tent body and fly into my pack and fill gaps instead of using the storage sack they come with ( Just make sure you fold in the netting to the center with the floor on the outside to protect it and obviously don’t pack it around any sharp objects ). I attached the poles to the outside of my pack on the side via the compression straps. The pole bag did not have a little piece of fold over fabric with a button to secure to one of the compression straps ( To clarify: not the fold over piece on the top to keep the poles in the bag, that is solid. Just something to prevent the bag with the poles in it from sliding out of the side compression straps ). They ended up sliding out about 3/4 of a mile in where the button closure would have prevented them from sliding off the pack and onto the ground. I ended up attaching them to the bottom horizontally which I don’t find ideal, but once again, a very small annoyance that I’m sure I’ll figure out a different way to attached them so this doesn’t happen again. It didn’t rain on this last trip, but I have 100% no doubt in my mind, I’ll be completely dry when the time comes. The Bungalow 4P I’ve had in multiple crazy storms and it was solid! All that said, Nemo kills it again with their product and I’ve had a wide variety of their gear for over a decade! Can’t wait to get back out on the trails, hopefully next week!

Great All Around Tent

I bought the Dagger OSMO 2P after borrowing a friend's and loving how lightweight the tent is, how well it separates into different pieces/bags for packing, and how roomy it is inside - particularly length-wise for gear. I do not find that the poles pack down into a flush position due to the angle of the poles' set up, which I find awkward for packing.

Dose What You Want It To Do

I had received this tent two day be for a short backpacking trip with my sons scout troop. I needed somthing lighter than what I had this tent fit the bill. The keys for me were the lbs the interior room and how well the rain fly covers the tent. The rain fly is a vary important thing for me and my family as we live jn the Pacific Northwest and it rains all the time. Nothing for me is more aggravating than your sleeping bag hitting the wall and now it’s raining in your tent. There are some things that I wish were included would be 2 extra stakes for the guy lines you can attach to the center of the rain fly to pull it away from the body of the tent at your head and feet. Anther would be the wind wall that is inside could be equal across the tent for example the higher spot on the inside screen lower the high spot and bring up the low spot. I say this as I use the two man tent just for me and sometimes that wind bites. The other is one that I just didn’t realize was not there is the ground cloth. While not a big deal on that as it’s offerd maybe a check box on the tent when ordering so you don’t miss it if you want one. I know it sounds like a bunch of complaints but I really do dig the tent the set up was easy for only doing it once before the trip out. The tent bag has plenty of room Incase you were not able to get the perfect roll of the tent. Oh and ot way lighter than the tent it replace and that one was a one person tent.

Felt Tougher Then Other Tents

We tested out Dagger 3P over 7 days in the Boundary Water Canoe area. On the first day it rained over 2 inches in about an hour. Amazing that our tent stayed dry in a small river. It rained a lot over the next few days with tons of wind . It continued to stay dry. This was not the case for our friends in a comparable tent (other brand). We had just changed tents from another popular UL tent and are glad that we did!!! What we liked - the construction of the tent is the most solid of any tent we've owned. It just felt tougher. It barely moved in the wind. It stayed dry because the fly did not sag in the rain and stayed off the tent. The tent fabric is as advertised. The corners of the tent were better covered by the fly than in other tent designs. We did purchase the ground cloth and glad we did. The ground cloth did not extend beyond the tent body, Another reason it kept us dry. The vestibules are very roomy. The storage tub worked well. I used a rolled up dry bag in the other vestibule. The zippers worked well. In seven days the zipper material jammed only twice on the fly. Compared to my last tent, that happened almost every time we used the zipper. I worried about the 88 inch length as I'm 6'5", That was not a problem and I felt comfortable. The stakes are the best I've seen. You just need 2 more so you can add lines on the front and back of the fly. Things that could be improved - I can't imagine 3 people in this tent. Our two pads filled the tent. We barely had room for water bottles on the side of our pads. We also felt cramped with gear and relied on the vestibules. The storage tub was great in the vestibule but need one for the other side. The pockets on tent were small and I'd suggest adding larger pockets. For our next trip we're going to 1) Add a gear loft, 2) see if we can find another vestibule storage tub and 3) purchase 2 more stakes.

Nemo Dagger 2p

What a wonderful tent. It feels so spacious with 2 people in it fully set up even though the mats cover the whole floor. The landing zone is a game changer and even without a footprint It was as dry as ever. The only issue I had is that in the amount of dew and condensation was crazy and it took awhile to dry it out once st my next camp.

Looks Great

I haven't got to use it yet. But it's well packed and looks incredible. I love the compact size. Will fit great in my motorcycle panniers.

Seems Good

I got this tent last week. Set it up once in the yard. Went up easy. Better with two people. Camping this weekend so we’ll see how it preforms.

Excellent Tent

I am very happy with this tent! It performs well in pretty much any environment and is very spacious for how light it is. The only real complaint is that it is slightly bulky for backpacking, but that is what I get for wanting 1 tent that can do anything.

Happy Camper

I had been needing to get a tent and was between this tent and the Big Agnes Copper Spur 3 person. From all the reviews, they were pretty comparable with NEMO Dagger having slightly more room. I decided on NEMO in the end due to size and pricing, and I am quite happy with my choice. I have brought this tent on 3 backpack trips so far. Two were in mountainous areas with only one other person and the third was a three person trek on the Olympic Coast. Here’s how it faired. Usability/Accessibility: The tent is easy to set up with only one person. Having just one tent pole makes it super quick. The attachment points for poles and rain fly are really easy to clip into and out of and I had no fear of anything disconnecting. The zippers on the rain fly are a little hard to open with only one hand, as the fabric gets caught. The tie backs for the doors are easy to use and can be hooked with one hand, but I wish they were a little further down the door. When looped back, the door still hand into the entrance, which led to some water dripping into the tent or onto people as they left the tent. Size: The tent is so light that its weight is barely noticeable, especially when split up. The divvy cube and individual sacks for the poles and stakes makes it super easy to divide the tent up. The tent fits two people with tons of extra room. The vestibules are large enough to fit two packs plus shoes on either side without worrying about them getting wet. On the three person trip, we were definitely snug and cozy. I have a NEMO Quasar sleeping pad in regular wide and my two companions had regular width pads. All three pads fit together with no overlap inside the tent. This leads me to believe that three regular width pads would fit perfectly without any fear of touching your partners in the night. I was pleasantly surprised with the inside space. I do wish the tent had more pockets, as each side only has one. An additional pocket on each side would be really clutch. Durability/Weather Wear: This tent saw it all (except snow). The tent itself feels really thin and the rain fly has a different feel than other tents. I was a little worried about the tent floor on rocks & roots, since I didn’t purchase a footprint. Well, this tent held up. The first trip it went on, we accidentally put the rain fly on inside out (oopsies!) and then it hailed and rained and the wind had gusts up to 20 or 30 mph. The tent was dry inside, even with an inside out fly. The tent was also rained on during the other trips, with properly assembled rain fly, and stayed dry on all of them. The tent floor held up great against all the surfaces, from rocks and roots to sand. This tent does not have amazing ventilation, but with the guy lines, we had no issues with keeping the condensation to a minimum. My biggest issue, though, was that the end of one of the tent poles did pop off when disassembling the tent on the second trip. I easily fixed it by reattaching the cord to the end and it’s working fine. TLDR: Held up great in rain, wind, hail, sun, bugs, sand, rocks, roots, and much more. Had a minor snafu with the tent pole end coming off when taking the poles out of the tent, but easily fixed. Fits 3 snug, but cozy and vestibules are large enough for storing all the gear. Easy to set up and take down and lightweight. Very happy with my purchase and would recommend.

The Cadillac Of Tents

I've had my older Nemo dagger for three years now, just got the new one. The old one was no slouch. Just a couple weeks ago it scoffed at a thunderstorm. I also like that the floor can fit two 25 inch pads, it was actually comfortable putting two people in it even with slightly uneven terrain and a mild slope. It may be a little on the heavy side, but it packs down incredibly well. My only gripes with the old one were that getting in & out were annoying and the landing zone was annoying to attach. The new version fixes both issues, and now I find myself with a near perfect tent.
