I took my new Dagger Osmo 2-person tent on a 4-day solo canoe trip around Algonquin Park's Big Trout Lake loop and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. This tent is intuitive to set up and is the perfect size for what I intended it for, which is solo camping with a dog. This trip has some demanding portages and I was very happy to have such a light tent in my pack!

Fool-proof Ul Tent
I bought this tent for a couple planned backpacking trips along the PCT in Washington and Blue Ridge Parkway in NC. It was lightweight, spacious enough for 2 people and incredibly easy to setup. I can't say enough good things about this tent.

This tent is light and large, but in slightly demanding environments it does not measure up. The tent lacks taped seams that leak water in the rain. It is very difficult to set up in windy weather as the inner and outer fabric are separated. The big problem arises when it rains during set-up. The inner tent should be set up first and then the outer fabric should be put on. This means that the inner tent is exposed to rain for a minute or so. Not only that, there are no seams that stop corner clips from falling off and being lost. It was easily fixed by tying your own knot. But the leak could not be repaired in the field. This tent is for dry climates, not where it can rain or blow.

Great Tent! 3p
3P: Just got back from a trip with this tent, was great. Does everything it promises, might be a bit small for 3 people but 2 fit pretty comfortably. Held up to heavy rain, and the landing zone kept my gear dry without taking up space in the tent. Love it.

Nemo Dagger 3p Review
I purchased a 3p tent to camp and backpack in Glacier National Park. My overall experience was great, and my expectations for the tent were already high. If you were looking for a tent that can handle winds and don’t mind the few extra ounces, I would recommend this tent. Set up: Extremely intuitive set up, laying the tent out then snapping the ball and socket connections into each corner of the tent is simple and fast. The longest part for me was the rain fly, but if you are in a pinch, securing the 4 corners with the lock-in mechanism is simple. The only difficult part is properly Velcro’ing the rain fly to the poles. I’m sure others don’t have an issue but I found it tedious in the set up. Performance: I’m fortunate that the weather didn’t have to test the tent out, as the weather was 55-75 and no rain in the forecast. Winds on the mountain did gust up to 25 and blowing around 12mph. I did anchor and guyout the tent and the winds didn’t shake or leave me thinking the tent couldn’t handle more adverse conditions. The storage cube that goes inside the vestibule allowed for my pack to stay out of the dirt and was quite useful. Access to it from inside was relatively easy. My only gripe with it the tent was with moisture, as it would accumulate if you didn’t open the tent’s vestibule top zip from where the vent is to about quarter zip. Guying out the front and back of the tent helped with moisture, however if you aren’t able to I did notice moisture on the inside of the tent and on the rain fly.

Decent Tent Just A Little Heavy.
I wanted to have a second tent that was a little larger than the Dragonfly so I could have room for me and my Australian Shepard dog. Overall the tent is decent. Still a little tighter than I thought it would be with the 50Inch width, but it works well enough. I do wish it was a little lighter like the Big Agnes Copper Spur. But overall for the price, the Dagger is a good tent. Hopefully the zipper issue doesn't pop up on the tent I bought.

Solid Features And Light Weight
The NEMO Dagger Osmo 2P is a fantastic, ultralight shelter that perfectly balances its low trail weight with smart, innovative features. While the tent provides a generous amount of overall interior volume, it falls slightly short on length; at 6'0", I found that I didn't have quite enough room to fully stretch out without brushing the ends. However, the gear storage and interior touches are excellent. The included Landing Zone gear tub is an absolute standout, acting as a waterproof tub in the vestibule that is incredibly convenient for keeping your pack and boots protected from the mud during heavy rain. Inside, the Nightlight Pockets are a very cool addition that perfectly diffuse a headlamp beam to illuminate the tent. The only minor letdown on rainy nights is the lack of a dedicated, clear overhead pocket to hold a phone for watching movies. Overall, it is an incredibly capable tent that justifies its reputation thanks to its exceptionally light weight and unique, well-thought-out creature comforts.

Flimsy Pole Attachments And Inaccurate Dimension
I already own Nemo products: Kunai 2p, Dragonfly OSMO 1P, all season tensor pad, disco 15 and 30 sleeping bags. We decided to purchase this Dagger OSMO 2P for summer backpacking. The tent dimensions are inaccurate. It is not 50 inches wide. We measured it after our two Nemo all season tensor pads 25 inches wide did not fit the tent. Also, one of the pole attachments broke causing the cord to snap inside the pole at campground. It took us 45 mins to get this fixed. The tent did not come with stakes. We had to use our own stakes from Nemo Kunai tent I own. I am highly disappointed in this Nemo product. I hope Nemo brings back the old pole attachment style that was used with Kunai tenta. This will be my first Nemo product that I am returning.

Poor Quality. Do Not Buy.
Good design but poor quality. I’ve had this tent for ~1.5 years and the zippers are already toast. They get stuck and the zipper opens up after being zipped. It took my Big Agnes 5+ years to get to this point. This is on top of the rent body ripping the first time I used the tent. Very disappointed.

Excellent Tent!
Recently took this on its first climbing/camping trip with me. It held up great through so wet and cold nights. Landing zone is such a great addition, and all of the extra tie downs are great. The inside of the tent is a true apartment with amenities.

Innovation Win Again!
I’ve had a Bungalow 4P for car camping and festivals for a decade. I recently purchased the Osmo Dagger 2P to replace an older backpacking tent in the same weight category and took it out on it’s first trip two nights ago. First impressions: Fabric is very lightweight, soft and seems very durable. I have no doubt that it will be. Setup is a breeze for one person. Since there is added vestibule space that requires two additional stakes ( that come with the tent ) it’s just something extra to bring and setup, so minor things to get used to. You do need an additional 2 stakes ( that do not come with the tent ), for the two lower points for better airflow especially if it’s humid and/or rainy weather. So, 10 stakes total if anyone is wondering, 4 for the corners, 4 for the vestibules and 2 for the head and feet where the logo is. I honestly thought the “nightlight pocket” was going to be a bit of a gimmick, but after throwing my headlamp in there, I was very well surprised at how well the orange fabric disperses the light inside the tent. I will now be using this feature every time instead of just wearing my headlamp inside which I’ve always done previously. The landing zone, I brought with me, but did not end up using it. I think this will be more beneficial in rainy/muddy/snowy weather and the other night it was bone dry. I very much like the more muted fabric color when I’m in the tent as the sunlight is hitting it when I’m waking up in the morning. It’s not too harsh/intense as the eyes adjust to daylight. One nit picky thing I was unsure about was the pole bag. The way I pack is, I stuff the tent body and fly into my pack and fill gaps instead of using the storage sack they come with ( Just make sure you fold in the netting to the center with the floor on the outside to protect it and obviously don’t pack it around any sharp objects ). I attached the poles to the outside of my pack on the side via the compression straps. The pole bag did not have a little piece of fold over fabric with a button to secure to one of the compression straps ( To clarify: not the fold over piece on the top to keep the poles in the bag, that is solid. Just something to prevent the bag with the poles in it from sliding out of the side compression straps ). They ended up sliding out about 3/4 of a mile in where the button closure would have prevented them from sliding off the pack and onto the ground. I ended up attaching them to the bottom horizontally which I don’t find ideal, but once again, a very small annoyance that I’m sure I’ll figure out a different way to attached them so this doesn’t happen again. It didn’t rain on this last trip, but I have 100% no doubt in my mind, I’ll be completely dry when the time comes. The Bungalow 4P I’ve had in multiple crazy storms and it was solid! All that said, Nemo kills it again with their product and I’ve had a wide variety of their gear for over a decade! Can’t wait to get back out on the trails, hopefully next week!
