I bought this for an older MSR filter that has been unused for some time. Once I installed the parts it never skipped a beat

It's great to have a rebuild kit available. Thanks

Good kit. Wish it also had the foam float. I lost mine, but it’s not critical to the operation

I only needed to use the silicone grease; the rubber rings and duckbill valve were soft and pliable, just added a new layer of grease.

I did a very foolish thing by not servicing my water filtration pump before a one month sectional hike on the AT. Sure enough, in my third week my pump failed. Without the help of another hiker, I would have been toast. I now have completely serviced my pump with the MiniWorks Kit and my pump is like new. I also have a backup kit in my gear. Don’t leave home without one.

Just what we needed to fix up our water pump. It's OLD and hasn't been maintained in years, but this kit and a bit of time and some youtube video instruction now has it working like new again.
I've had the MiniWorks water purifier pump for nearly a decade and an o-ring failed about 2 years ago. I considered buying a new pump but was pleasantly surprised to find the maintenance kit. My pump works just like new.
piece of mind knowing that you have a compact repair kit on long backpacking trips when clean water is important.
I bought this because my MSR filter that I have owned for 10 years no longer worked properly. After following the clear instructions and replacing a few pieces- it's as good as new!
I ordered this kit thinking it would contain the little blue ball check valve which is in the older waterworks filter. It does not and I can't seem to find any place which has that particular piece. Super disappointed.
Keeping my 15 year old MiniWorks going after years of service.

I am a biologist, and I hate rationing water. I will gladly carry a filter and several bottles rather than have to economize. This little kit is light and contains all the seals needed for the miniworks, plus the lube for the all-important pumping seal. I have one in the same bag as my filter and an extra in the pack. The world's best filter is no good if you don't maintain it, this cheap little kit will refresh an old one to perfect condition.

I have this little kit tucked into a pocket in my pack when I go on extended hikes. Its just a smart thing to have. If you have the filter, its good to have a maintenance kit in case an o-ring splits or breaks. Its a small package and very light. Never had to use it yet, but its nice to have and nice to know its there when you are days away fresh water.
