I have only used these in my back yard so far to set up a tarp shelter. Hood is excellent and easy to drive and remove. Stakes are very lightweight but feel much more high quality compared to stakes that come with the tarp or tent.

Purchased these to use with my new tent for my thru hike on the AT. We are 625 miles in and every morning when I pull them out of the ground I am thankful how well they hold. Found a similar one on trail an when I pushed it in some hard dirt it bent. I’ve not bent one of my Ground Hog stakes and I’ve pounded them with a rock at times.

Rain, wind, storms, they keep my tent locked down in any weather. Super light. Super easy to use. I definitely recommend picking some up. Great buy!

Took this backpacking a few times in Utah, Colorado and Maine! Very lightweight but does the job fantastically despite the size! have get to put a dent in it

Title says it all. Why carry full sized groundhogs when you can save weight with minis and have the same great performance? Will buy another pack of 6 to trade out my other y-stakes.

I purchased these to lighten the load of my pack. I was expecting the shape of these aluminum stakes to make them as durable as heavier steel stakes. Too bad one shattered the first time I drove it into the hard soil. I wouldn't recommend using this stake in hard soils.

Like my wife, a lot of strength in a tiny package! There is a place for titanium shepherds hooks, but these weigh only a few grams more, hold so much better, and while I hear they are not indestructible, you couldn't prove it by me. My go to stakes.

You may think a tent stake is just a tent stake. I once did too - how wrong I was. This tiny beast held my tent down in ferocious winds and torrential rain. I felt safe, grounded, swaddled. It's probably the most magical tent stake there's ever been. 10/10 would recommend.

Small package, light weight but rugged. Nice storage pouch that takes up only a small space in your pack. Will work for extra pegs for my tent or my tarp.

I have used MSR stakes for awhile now and I am happy with their weight and the way they hold. I have used titanium stakes and found them to flimsy, these hold up well even when I have to hammer them in.

Love these stakes. They're small, maybe 5-6" long but very lightweight and get the job done. The little notch for the guy line is clutch. Also love the looped string, which allows easy pull out. These babies seem indestructible too.

I wanted to have a couple of extra stakes for my MSR "Hubba Hubba" tent, in case I lost one while backpacking. When I searched for them, I noticed that these stakes now come with a string loop which my originals did not. So I purchaed 6 to replace my originals and will keep the old ones for backup.
