This is my second pair of 25" Lightnings. I've finally had to retire my 2004 pair, which were spruced up back at the factory once and now are embellished with judiciously applied duct tape. They have performed yeoman hard service in the backwoods of the Taconic mountains and will deserve their place of honor hanging on the garage wall. They have taken me everywhere, up, across and down steep slopes, through sapling-choked thickets, and over ice and rock. The best!

These are the best snowshoes I have ever used. No problem hiking in the Adirondacks with these on your feet. Can’t say enough about them. They are very well constructed and the bindings are easy to use.

I’m a beginner in snowshoeing but these are great. Easy to set up and get going. The quality is great. They have some teeth on the bottom that helps handle well in icy areas. And I was able to travel across soft powder with a pack full of camera gear no problem!

Easy to get on, easy to take off. Very stable with loads and do not get crossed up like other snowshoes I've used. Conditions so far have been light and heavy power, pulling a pulk, and hiking. Great option for a no nonsense workhorse that is light and nimble.
