I’ve been a fan of MSR products since my first backpacking trip. I purchased a cook set with wider flatter plates, but still the same design style, and have been pleased with the design and function for several years now. This newer mess kit is very similar, my only complaint is that the mugs are all plastic, inside and out, where the older mugs that came with the cook set were I assume stainless or some other alloy. I haven’t had a chance to use them to see any difference in taste or insulation. Still good quality, first impression did not disappoint overall!
