Jacket seems all good except the DWR on mine doesn’t seem to work. I sprinkled a little water on it, and the water only beaded up for a few minutes. Then it started to saturate the outer fabric. Per the mfr recommendation to ’activate’ the DWR, I washed it with double rinse and dried it on low heat. Outer fabric still saturates quickly. Other jackets like Patagonia Torrentshell do not saturate for long time with the same test. Do I have a defective jacket, or is the DWR really that bad on these jackets?

Even though it says the fix is trim fitting, I've found it plenty roomy. The inside feels great, i like the large hand pockets and the chest pocket. Hood is a good fit, and most important of all - it's kept me dry during a few short downpours and a moderate rain during a 4 hour hike. This is going to be my new favorite shell.

Great lightweight jacket, I find the waterproofing works quite well. I've spent full days out in the rain and yes my base layer will get a bit damp underneath but as long as you're wearing wool/fleece under this jacket you'll be fine. I work outdoors in the PNW forests 4 seasons of the year and wear this jacket most days. It works great. The zipper is a bit lousy though I busted an end stop off mine and had to repair it.

I love this jacket and use it 4-seasons, but I bought it in 2023 and today is the second time the zipper has broken. Upgrade the zipper for 5 stars comfort, packability, waterproofing.

This a great light rain jacket. It works well in the light/moderate rain for about 1.5.
