I bought this with the intent of using it as a rappel backup/3rd hand, but the sewing is too far long and makes it too awkward to set up. I would look for something else

I ended up buying the Beal jammy and some sterling sown cord for prusiks for rappelling. Maybe they could be useful for escaping the belay or ascending the rope, but I feel that the jammy would be just as useful. Pls lmk if this is not the case!

too long. wanted something shorter and easier to use for rappelling. i dunno what the application is here for, but if you're looking for a simple prusik, this is not it.

I bought these looking for a backup prusik to always have on my harness for rappelling, but the sizes were a little longer and took up more space than I would have liked. (I'd prefer something several inches shorter than the red.) I think they'd be great for ascending rope/arboreal work, but maybe not for the occasional rappel backup.

Bought these for backing up rappels. They definitely get the job done, the sizes are a little odd but they work. The red one is a little bit shorter than I would like.
