Comfortable Shoe--look Elsewhere For Waterproofs

These shoes are comfortable to walk in, but decidely not waterproof--at least after a few months. I went walking in a mowed field with grass shorter than the tops of my shoes today, and my toes were soaking wet up to the arches.

Excellent Choice!

This pair of shoes are exactly what I wanted and needed for a hiking trip to Scotland and Wales. We have been lucky with the weather so I haven't experienced their waterproof technology but that same technology has kept my feet from getting cold in these chilly conditions!

Good Support, But Quite Narrow

I like the style and support of these shoes. However, they are quite narrow. I've never had an issue with the width of Merrell shoes in the past, but these actually caused some numbness in my pinkie toes. Disappointed.

Didn't Hold Up

These didn't hold up as well as I would have liked. After one season the material towards the forefoot started to crack so they were no longer water proof - one of the main reasons I bought the shoe. Otherwise I find them to be a comfortable shoe and great for hiking.
