I bought these shoes for a trip to Utah to Zion national Park for a bit of hiking with my son and daughter-in-law. I will say these are the best shoes for hiking that I have ever tried. They were comfortable all day. I felt very stable in them and they just really did their job well.

I have 2 paired of Moab 3….one pair gortex, the other “waterproof”. For me they have been equally awesome. I have them in wide width bc I hike daily (with my dog Finn) on the trails in our large state forest here in MA where we get a bit of all types of weather. The shoes are rugged, comfy and keep my feet dry. Highly recommend!! Happy hiking!!!!

These are my favorite shoes. They have a lot of grip at the bottom and are very comfortable. I use them every day for walking, running, and hiking.

I never got the chance to find out if they were waterproof because they were 1/2 inch too small, even though I ordered my size, 9.5. Width was fine, but I couldn't even wear thick socks because not enough room in the toe area for thin socks!!! I should have returned them, but I thought maybe I could break them in and they might fit better. Nope. Very sloppy construction and design. That's very unfortunate since I have many pairs of Merrells in 9.5 that fit perfectly. These were way too expensive to have them as a show piece on my shoe rack. I do not trust Merrell anymore and afraid to order anything.

I've had a few versions of the Moab over the years, and have been really happy so far with the new pair. The weight is decent for a sturdy day hiker, and the waterproof factor is essential living and hiking around Vancouver (it rains. a lot). Love the wide fit, good arch support, and overall comfort right out of the box - no breaking in required

My previous Moabs have GORTEX on the tag. These have WATERPROOF on the tag. I am hoping the waterproofing will be as effective as it is not clear what is being used to waterproof the shoe. Slightly deceptive that there is no information anywhere as to what the replacement is as I was under the impression that the Waterproofing agent would still be GORTEX

I have Foot drop on left side with no feeling in half the foot. This shoe provides me with the stability, grip, and comfort I need for the brace that I choose. I have been wearing this shoe since 2005, when all this happened to me.

I love my hiking shoes, and I expect they will last as long as my last 2 pairs. They are waterproof, mudproof, and looking good. I wish I hadn't ordered a half size up. The website said they run small. Apparently, my feet run small too.

This is my second pair. The other pair served as my winter walking shoes, my off-road shoes and hiking shoes. My foot is really a WW, but these are wide enough, but not with the thicker and padded hiking socks. I also use my Moabs for driving. I'm a grandmother with grandchildren in 5 different states, mostly in the Pacific Northwest area. During my travels, I could be walking on gravel, sandy ground, or concrete or asphalt. They handle the different terrains very well, keeping my feet warm, comfy and dry. I gave them 4 stars only because I could use an extra smidgen of wideness.
Fit me perfectly after the exchange. I ordered a size 9 which were too snug so exchanged for a size 9.5 which fit perfectly. The exchange was very easy!
