Wide Width Perfect For My Needs. Great Hiking Shoe

I've had several Merrell shoes and like them, but sometimes a fit a bit tight. I'm an active senior so ordered the wide width and glad I did. These hiking shoes fit and feel great. The Vibram soles provide great grip and the gore-tex does it job keeping feet dry in damp conditions.

Gore-tex Waterproofing Doesn't Last

I have owned several pairs of these shoes. They are very comfortable but their consistent flaw is that the Gore-Tex waterproofing last for only about a month of regular use. I have found that the basic waterproofing in the Moab 3 Waterproof shoes lasts a little longer (although still not very long).
