Ordered Shoes May Not Be Same As What You Have.

I have other Merrell shoes so I ordered the same size, 11.5. These Moab 3 Gore-Tex are too tight but I wore them thinking they needed breaking in. Mistake, but I can’t return them since they have been worn. Be careful if you order on line.

Comfortable And Waterproof

I only use these for walking the dog through wet grass. After one month, waterproofing is holding up, which is better than I experienced with the regular waterproof Moabs.

Poor Quality Inner Heal Cup Stitching

The Merrell Moab 2 and 3 hiking shoes have a major flaw with inferior stitching in the heal cup area. The stitching across the heal area (about 3/4"-1" down from the top of the inner heal) splits open after normal use, and then the thin black liner material lifts and frays. The shoes I have purchased all exhibit this design flaw after using the shoes less than 6 months. Other than that, I like the shoes. MERRELL: PLEASE REDESIGN THE HEAL CUP AREA STITCHING AND LINER MATERIAL ON ALL NEW MOAB SHOES IN THE FUTURE!
