Great fit and quality I would definitely recommend

It's hard to find water friendly shoes that are comfortable and easy on/off. Lucky day for me, after lots of looking I discovered the Mocblacks. They tick all the boxes when wet and then dry amazingly fast to double as comfy 'around the house (and campsite) slip ons.

I am a consumer based in Australia. I wanted a fully waterproof slip on sandal - shoe type of footwear that also provided toe protection. It was between the Crocs InMotion Clog & Merrell Hydro Clog. After testing both products I found the Merrell product had an overall better fit / ankle support than the Croc product. The Croc product is slightly softer in terms of cushioning. Both products are excellent for summer use & especially holidays in South East Asia where you need a waterproof product that protects your feet better than thong-style footwear. In terms of style: the Merrell Hydro Clog does look a little bit 'chunky' and the large webbed air spaces put it firmly in the casual - sports look (trekking, beach use, sight-seeing) rather than the smart - casual look (e.g. for summer parties, BBQs etc). This aspect, and the fact that the Crocs have a slightly more cushioned feel is why I opted to give this product a solid 4/5 rating. In the winter I put on a light pair of socks and use this product around the house as slippers.
Great footwear. Only thing is, it runs up a size. I generally get US 10 footwear but for this one, US 9 is the fit for me.

Not nearly as versatile as I had hoped, found to be slippery when wet. Feet slid right out on uneven terrain when they were wet. Might suggest a smaller size if ordering.

Great around the house or river shoes. Fit like a glove

Very comfortable but can irritate the skin if worn for long distances. I wore mine on a short hike down to the river. The walk down was good but the rubbed against the skin a bit. Once I was fishing they were great, walk through water and then rocks and gravel was an easy transition. They do get a little slippery on the inside when wet but still great.

Very comfortable shoes. I've had bad feet for decades and these are one of the few casual shoes that I can wear.

I had a good 3 months ride with those shoes. I liked them. I took them camping. I used them at the lake, gardening and in the evening after long hikes. I liked the concept and they are light and comfy - although I prefer to wear them with socks. I guess that is personal. So all good right? Not quite… 1/ fit is specific to Merrel. If you have weird foot shape or large move along. 2/ the sole is certainly not very robust and wears down real quick. 3/ the material is overall of poor quality. As mentioned in 2/ it’s weak but I had the weirdest problem. I left the shoes in my garage - which is where all my shoes are - and to my surprise the left one shrank. It’s notably smaller and tight. The right one is just fine. I contacted merrell and was told that I subjected my shoes to excessive heat and that this is not covered by warranty. For a company that prides themselves to make outdoor shoes that makes me laugh. And therefor 4/ be aware that those shoes should only be used indoor with AC between 70 and 80 degF.

Believe it or not, for at least the past decade, I've owned nothing but Hydro Mocs wherever I've gone around the world, in any weather, in every color. I walk 16-18 miles a day when home or else I'll explode. True.

I bought them 3 months ago and the soles have holes in them. They were super comfortable when they were new but sure didn't last long. Disappointing coming from Merrell.

Great fit - super comfortable and functional. I love that these don't have a liner like other water footwear, so they're easy to clean. I like them so much I've been wearing them around the house.

This is great footwear for boating. It has arch support, good cushion, it’s waterproof, and dries quickly.

Comfortable, stylish, practical when your thong wearing days are over
