Best fitting hiking boots I ever had. The wide fit is perfect. From the first fit they felt comfortable.

After 10 years, the Inca trail in Peru, Camino de Santiago in Portugal and Spain, 3x on top of Mt. Marcy(tallest peak in the Adirondacks and several hundred miles on trails around the Finger Lakes they finally had a blowout. Ordered a new pair of Moab 3 gtx but am skeptical if they will last as long with all the mesh in them. Maybe they will be ok. 77 and still hiking and biking.

I've been wearing these boots every day since I bought them and have had zero issue. They fit perfectly, and I have not felt any bit of discomfort climbing up 2 mountains already. Overall, a worthy boot, but only time will tell how well they last.

I am so happy with Merrell that it is the only boot/shoe that I wear now. I need wide footwear and Merrell delivers with a 4E. In the hard winters here in Michigan, my Merrells are great!

This is the third pair of MOAB 3’s I’ve owned. This is the first time I purchased a pair that were not brown. These are by far one of the best pairs of hikers on the market. I’ve tried other brands, but they don’t compare. I can typically wear these for three years before I need to replace them. I wear them every other day in a rotation with a MOAB hiking shoe. I walk close to ten miles every week. The wide width keeps my toes comfortable, other hikers have pinched my toes. I also like that my feet don’t ache or feel sore after long walks on the New York City sidewalks. These are every bit urban footwear as they are for trail hiking.
Ive been wearing the Merrell Moab2 and Moab3 for years. Shoe fit has always been a problem for me and when I find something that works, I stay with it. Merrell Moab's fit right out of the box. I'm a size 12 and generally they feel a little tight and cramped when I first put them on, but after an afternoon's walk they fit like a glove. This past year I upgraded to the Gore-Tex as the waterproof ones are find for a light rain, but if you think you're going to get wet: get the Gore-Tex. These shoes are so comfortable and adaptable to road and trail that my wife and I walked them in Ireland this past spring for 54 miles on the Dingle Way and she's 77 and I'm 66 - absolutely no foot problems. I love box the Mid and Low version of these shoes: I wear the low ankle version in the office as I'm on my feet 12 hours a day. (In fact, I came here to buy another pair when asked to place this review. :) ) The shoes hold up, the uppers and hardware have never failed me. If there's anything to note, it's the same issue with all shoes like this with a high vibram content for cushioning: the lugs wear fast compared to a harder sole shoe. But that's what makes taking these down an asphalt road between trails such a delight. So, I take the trade off. NOTE: if you have any kind of ankle pronation, etc, where you're using some kind of compromise support insole - address that with a high quality Super Feet or ProSteps insole and replace the stock insole and your shoes will last much longer. The Moab's will compensate for pronation well and protect you from injury, but it's coming to come at the cost of unevenly wearing off the back lugs and prematurely aging your shoe. At the price of the shoe and the fact that that hardware and uppers last so long, it is definitely worth using an independent solution to save the sole from early wear. Long story short: love these shoes.

I couldn’t be happier with the Merrell Moab 3 Mid GORE-TEX hiking boots. Finding a size 15 that truly fits well can be challenging, but these fit perfectly right out of the box. No pinching, no awkward pressure points—just a comfortable, secure fit. The construction feels solid and well thought out. They’re durable without feeling bulky, and surprisingly lightweight for a mid-height waterproof hiking boot. The GORE-TEX lining keeps my feet dry without making them overheat, which makes a big difference on longer hikes. Whether I’m doing a casual trail walk or a more strenuous hike with uneven terrain, they provide excellent support and comfort. Great traction, stable feel, and all-day wearability. Highly recommended, especially for anyone who wears larger sizes and struggles to find the right fit.

Like them. Comfortable. Feel like they’ll Last for me which I will use them on some light hiking and just in general around the yard. Sizing was off I generally get a 9.5-10 and had to get a 10.5 in these which I’ve never had to do.

Very comfortable, well made, sturdy, and tough. They do not “breathe” quite as well as advertised, but that is only my opinion. My feet do not feel “sweaty wet” but they do need a bit drying at the end of the day. These boots are comfortable enough to wear all day with ease.

Love these… feet dry through some rainy weather… although I didn’t walk through puddles to rely test out waterproofing

Great traction & water proof for hiking on disc golf course. Good ankle support. Good toe & heel protection. Great hiking boot. Sole & sidewalls are too rigid & heavy for proper movement & feel when teeing off. Heel also too tall. Merrell gave these away in some of the tournament players packs last year. If Merrell truly wants to cater to the disc golf community, they need to make this same shoe in a lighter weight with a flat sole. Make a shoe specific for the sport. I wear trail running shoes for disc golf now but they suck. They don't have enough ankle support. Need a cross between the two.
