New Favorite

Thank you I love this Marmot Gore Tex Rain jacket. I’ve never owned a jacket for the rain. And let me say this jacket set the bar high for me to purchase any other brand. I love how it is water resistant and how it is also warm. The jacket is lightweight and fits true to size. I also love how when I take it fishing it blocks the wind from making me cold.

Perfect Jacket That Keeps You Warm And Dry

I got the Marmot Men’s Waypoint GORE-TEX Rain Jacket for my husband, and he absolutely loves it. The color is great for gloomy, bad-weather days—easy to spot and still looks sharp. He put it to the ultimate test during our recent ice storm, wearing it with layers underneath, and stayed completely warm and dry the entire time. One of his favorite features is the zippered vents under the arms. They make a huge difference when things warm up, letting him regulate his temperature without having to unzip the whole jacket. He owns a similar rain jacket from L.L.Bean that he normally wears, but this one is definitely superior. The hood is another standout—unlike his other jacket, this one actually moves with his head, so you can turn side to side and still see. If you’ve ever worn a stiff hood that blocks your peripheral vision, you know how big of a deal that is. Overall, this jacket performs exactly as advertised, feels well-made, and is absolutely worth the cost.

Compact & Lightweight

The Marmot Rain Jacket is lightweight and can compact down easily. It’s great to throw in a backpack and doesn’t take up much space. The jacket has ample room! We ordered an XL and really it should have been sized down. Both my son and husband wore it with a heavy sweatshirt and said they could have used a smaller size. The sleeves are on the longer size. The velcro on the sleeves are a great addition to make them have a looser and more snug fit! The hood is fits weird unless you pull it tight, but the little flap in front is appreciated. The zipper allows for the neck to be covered if needed. The rain jacket does hold up in the wind and rain. It does well keeping underneath clothing dry. The XL size did seem a little long for an over 6’ body, however. Aesthetically, the jacket looks nice but it seemed boxy on my son and husband both. It was not a flattering jacket, but it does the job in the yucky weather!

Great Jacket

The Gore-Tex material feels sturdy and does do a good job blocking the wind and rain. It’s lightweight, and the good has great coverage. If it's cold you will definitely want to layer and put the jacket on top, but overall it seems like a solid, reliable outer layer that will keep you dry. It also has 2 zippers under the arms so if you get hot you can get some air without taking that jacket off.
