The proportions are off. Or else meant for very specific uses.
My 14yo is 5'9" and 108 lbs; very long and lanky. A size small was good length wise but too tight. If it was too tight for my son, I'm not sure who the proportions would work for. Most Marmot clothes are very baggy on him.
