Great jacket - it's lightweight without feeling flimsy. I appreciate the large hood - big enough for my bike helmet.
Sticky zipper. Hood too big without helmet. Otherwise great.

Great raincoat overall– super light and sleek. Originally got a black one but car was broken into and I lost it. So essential that I had to replace right away! So that's a big endorsement I guess. I got the bright yellow color. Solid two pockets on either side. Only thing I'd say is that I found the zippers to be a little cumbersome, which was noted in other reviews. Difficult to get the zipper seated into the mechanism, and then you have to work it back and forth. Definitely workable but just… not as great as all the other details. Otherwise, a very functional, nice raincoat.

As an outdoor enthusiast, weight is a critical factor in my gear selection, and the Men's GORE-TEX® Mitre Peak Waterproof Jacket (2024) delivers impressively in this regard. This jacket offers exceptional waterproofing and breathability without unnecessary bulk, making it a perfect companion for alpine climbing, hiking, or any technical outdoor activity. One of its standout features is the highly functional pocket design—the spacious, elevated pockets remain accessible even while wearing a harness, which is a game-changer for climbers and mountaineers. The adjustable helmet-compatible hood provides excellent coverage without limiting visibility, ensuring protection against harsh weather. Additionally, the underarm ventilation zippers allow for great airflow, preventing overheating during intense activity. Overall, this jacket balances durability, weather protection, and lightweight performance perfectly. If weight matters to you as much as it does to me, this is an excellent choice!

I returned this jacket due to a bad smell presumably from the waterproof coating and poor fit. The large size was very tight on my chest and waist.

Normaly, I wear a large. Lage was way too small in chest and shoulders and had upsize to XL. XL fits well there but sleeves are too long for me. Fortunately, the sleeves have good velcro adjusments and I can keep from covering hands. Like high vis color. Will use for jogging and running in the wind and rain.

Fits true to size. Great features. The jacket should hopefully be my go-to outerwear for winter hikes and Nordic skiing. It is thin - I mean the jacket is light, yes, but the material is thinner than I am usually comfortable with. I will put it to the test and hope for the best. It could use lower zipper snap fastener for durability, too.

Highly breathable jacket with a great athletic fit. Breathes better than any GTX jacket I've ever had. I bought a second one to keep in my work vehicle I was so impressed by the first one.

Marmot has a long history of making high quality outerwear. And this history continues with Mitre peak Jacket. I have been a fan of Marmot since my first jacket (the Alpine Light Jacket) which has been with me for most of my outdoor adventures into the backcountry and high altitude peak. I still remember when the 10,000 meter parka was the one of the best pieces of equipment a mountaineer could have for protection at very cold, high altitudes. Not sure if they still make that. Back to the review of this jacket. I like the fact that it is does not come with a liner so this makes it more versatile for layer. Not sure of the durability for and longevity as the material is lighter and therefor repeated use with pack straps and harnesses may wear stress areas out as they are not reinforced. I have yet to find rainy enough day where the jacket has not performed. Hopefully this waterproofing with continue over the life time of the jacket. My biggest issue now with the latest products from all makers (Patagonia, The North Face, etc) is the delamination of the gortex material after a few years of use. Hopefully they have resolved this issue. Looking forward to many years of use with this jacket. Check in with me in a few years, I will let you know how this performed

Haven't tried this out in the rain and will be returning because of the fit. The waist is just too tight, for reference I'm 5'11" 180 lbs with a 34 waist. The medium fits great in the sleeves, shoulders and chest but it is tight around the hips. Yes there is a 2nd zipper to zip up at the bottom to loosen it up but there I'm worried about putting too much pressure on the zipper when being active and damaging it. Other than the hips, it fit great, the hood is large to fit over a helmet but the adjustment works very well when not wearing one. The neck zips up nice and high to protect chin from the wind and all zippers are smooth and waterproof. Material felt high quality. Bummed to return it.

Great but personally do not like the color which is not suitable to me
High Quality Jacket. Light weight. I'm 5-11, 235lbs. 48 chest and XXL fits perfect. Enough room for a thick layer underneath. The only bad is the Gore-Tex material feels a little crunchy but nothing serious. Will definitely wear on my next summit. Paid half of the original price too! Totally Rocks!

Best lightweight jacket I ever owned. I wear it whether hiking or watching lacrosse games of my grandson when it looks like rain.. Terrific features like pit, zips, separate packets, spacious hood, and adjustable Velcro cuffs.
