I recently purchased a Men’s Ether DriClime Hoody and I must say, it’s just the ticket. Love the orange color. It fits great—I’m 6’3” and 175 lbs and the large was perfect. Here in Colorado it will be a great 3 season outer piece and good for layering in the cold, especially with the hoody. I use it for running, cross country skiing, going for walks or as a base layer. It has a slight stretch which makes it so movable - I just love it!

I had a 2007 DriClime of the same size which was an amazing jacket; it was a go-to piece for my thru-hike of the PCT; I loved it every since and it now starts to fall apart -- this new 2023 version is a disappointment: marmot redesigned the shoulder area (they moved the seam from the upper bicep area to half-way on top of the shoulder), and, as a consequence, the fit is now too tight and restrictive for arm movements while walking, hiking, birding, etc. (it may now look cooler as a fitted jacket for urban wear).

I have been wearing different versions of this jacket since 1999!!! The combination of being windproof with just a little insulation is PERFECT for so many activities! Because the outer material isn’t really connected to the inside, the jacket has an unexpected loftiness, & is WAY warmer than you’d think it would be…but at the same time doesn’t get too hot??? There was one version (windshirt) that even had small perforations in the armpits which was AWESOME. I live in Colorado, & I wear this piece for everything from an outer layer on cold spring and fall days, to a mid layer for low output activities. I even used to use one for snowboarding. My only complaint is that they only make the hooded version now. For me, nothing else I’ve tried really competes with this thing. Please don’t ever stop making it!!!

I love this jacket.. I was previously a ski-patroller, so I’m sort of an outdoor clothing junkie. It’s the perfect fall and spring jacket IMO. To combine a super lightweight windbreaker and super soft micro-fleece liner, with close wrist ends and synchable waist plus three zippered pockets is genius I think. Seeming simple- but I have not found anything like this from other clothing companies. It’s super versatile and a great west coast “ traveling / hiking/ camping jacket”. I had an earlier version of this jacket in grey without the hood which I loved (bring back the hood less option and offer it in more colors!) and lost it (on a plane I think).. I was so happy to find out that they still made it and bought two - one for myself and a bright one for my teenage son. He loves it too. (And so will you!)

I hope the DriClime jackets aren't going away because they are awesome for most three season weather conditions. It's true the fabric catches when you put it on over a long-sleeved shirt but that's not enough to dissuade me.
I have 3 of these. They're Great! Best light jacket!

Great jacket. Waterproof with a soft but very thin lining, so you won't get overheated. On very cold and rainy days, wear a sweatshirt and a thicker raincoat. When it's just sort of sprinkling and chilly, this is the best choice. I like baggy so I got a large, but a medium would fit perfectly.

I've used this jacket enough when working in my garage and hiking / backpacking, I can say it has conveniently replaced what I used to wear (a wicking layer and a layer that mostly blocked wind. Even repairs on the occasional snag has been easy. I think I'm going to buy this again just because of the quality. To be clear, this is a jacket that I used for activities where it would be a base layer + this jacket. I'd put a insulation layer over top if needed.

Nice light jacket, great for fall or summer. Not a winter coat

I specifically ordered this item in an XL size so I could use it as a shell over a base layer of clothing. Unfortunately, the item was too snug and the left shoulder is cut differently than the right. I am in Europe hiking for another week but when I return home I’m going to return it.
It keeps you warm but lightweight. The rainproof and waterproof capabilities make it perfect for winter on the North West coast.

This is the best jacket I've ever owned, I have an older version that isn't very waterproof but it is fantastic. It looks great, goes with everything and is super thin yet still warm. I could literally sleep in this jacket. Highly recommend trying it, fits true to size.

The new redesign of the Ether was done very well. I really like the quality and feel of this hoody. Being a long time Driclime fan i really like new "matte" non shiny face fabric. its not too thin and not too thick. they hit the sweet spot with the material that for sure. i do have one major complaint though and that is why did Marmot remove the armpit mesh? I assume they did this to cut costs. But in reality that mesh area is what makes the Driclimes so versatile and comfortable in almost all situations. So this is why I gave 3 stars. Bring that feature back and get 5 stars.. It would also be nice to have more colors especially the 2 tone grey. Maybe next season.

This is my fourth driclime windbreaker and although Marmot keeps tinkering with styles and names but it’s still one of my favorite jackets. It’s a lightweight lined windbreaker that is perfect for running in the cool damp Southeastern Alaska weather.

I bought this Jacket to replace a similar Marmot DriClimb I have had for several years. Sadly, Marmot has changed the DriClimb fabric on the inside of the jacket. It is like velcro trying to get your arms in the sleeves. The fabric catches on any type of longs sleeves you might be wearing making the jacket a real struggle to put on. Really bad fabric design. The DriClimb of my previous jacket did not have this issue and your arms would glide into the sleeves. I find myself avoiding wearing the jacket because of this. In addition, the zipper is hard to get started and undo. I do however like the fit, exterior fabric, and hood. Would not recommended unless you plan to only wear short sleeves.
