Best Cold Weather Sleeping Bag! Warm & Ightweight

I bought this bag for winter use in the Himalayas. I was in temperatutes colder than -20. This bag was so good that I could not zip it up or I would overheat even in -20!!! Marmot is the only brand of sleeping bag that I will every spend money on. I bought 5 different brands to test for this trip and Marmot CRUSHED them all. Fory test I slept in the snow in my backyard in my boxers with NOTHING but the bag I was testing that night, not even a sleeping pad! There was NO comparison. Marmot was the only bag I was comfortable enough to sleep through the night without ever waking up! Very Warm, lightweight, extremely comfortable, great compression for packing, high loft insulation for extra comfort that will keep you super toasty warm in the coldest weather. Even melting snow under me did not seep through, it kept me dry and hot as heaven. Don't waste your money on any other brand of sleeping bag. Marmot bags are better than #1, they are in a league of their own! There is no comparison out there. Trust me I tried, sleeping raw in the Alaskan winter snow in my yard NOTHING came close to Marmot in every category! MARMOT BAGS FOR LIFE!!!

Brooks Range In September - Fantastic!

Used the bag for a fall hunt in the Brooks Range, Alaska - 150 mile north of the Arctic Circle. It was warm and comfortable. Night time temps were in the low teens to maybe single digits and I was always comfortable, never wanting for more. The arm holes are nice for reading.

A Longer Zipper, Maybe Other Wise Perfect

This bag is warm and comfortable. The size for me is perfect. One minor complaint. I would like it better if the main zip was a little longer towards the foot box but like I said, it’s a very small issue.

Coldest Night Yet....

Used on an overnight in Feb. on Mount Washington, NH. Temp -10 F, wind 50-60 mph. Bag kept me warm. Wish I could have used arm holes, but it was too cold! This bag did the job, and can't wait to continue to put it through its paces. Got the long to keep my single-lined boots in the bag with me at night. At 5' 9", still had plenty of room.

So Far So Good...

I bought this bag for an expedition north of the Arctic Circle, but I haven't left yet. Despite this, I tested the warmth of the bag as well as I could on a -9F night and was quite comfortable all night. Normally I sleep pretty cold, so I'm very confident that it will serve my needs in the Northwest Territories next week.
