I’ve logged some miles in these boots, and I can honestly say that they’re a cut above anything I’ve experienced before. I bought them for a western hunt looking for some more ankle support, as I was nursing a recent sprain. I didn’t have time to break them in before I had to set off, but they were totally comfortable out of the box. I’ve climbed rocky, unsteady off-trail hills and southwestern mountains in order to gain vantage points and have been extremely impressed. They’re big, aggressive mountaineering boots that provide fantastic ankle support, and that’s exactly what I needed. I ordered my regular sneaker/shoe size and they fit perfectly with Smartwool hunting socks.

I've been using this boot for 4 months through 2' to deeper than my probe can measure snow, with and without crampons and I couldn't ask for a better boot. Backpacking trips through 16 miles of fresh snow or a quick scouting trip on cold days, these boots just perform. These boots are well built and pretty stable, but requires more time to break in because of the stiff leather. They fit true to size in length but a little wide, so go 1/2 size up if you plan to wear thicker socks.

Great Boot, But I Prefer The Standard Over "Hi"

I bought these boots to replace my 6 year old pair of Tibet GTX standard height as I couldn't find my size in the standard boot. The HI provides great support above the ankle, but it's really hard to snug them up around your foot. It's still a great boot, but the HI is overkill for my hunting and hiking needs.
