This rod is perfect for casting live bait or fishing plastic baits. It has good sensitivity, yet is sturdy enough for solid hook sets.

Solid so far, sensitivity isn’t that of super high end rods like St. Croix, but very good for the $$. I recommend.

I love the rod and reel combo! I bought the reel in person. But I had to buy the 7'3 heavy rod online which was no big deal. But I wasn't impressed with the packaging of the rod. Just a cardboard box with nothing protecting the rod. But I did catch a 34 inch pike on this setup!

Fished with these for a few months and went back and bought more. Great rods in my opinion and my son and I fish hard. So far no issues at all.

First time I used it it snapped in half on a hookset, lews replaced it with another one and did the same thing the first time I used it. 2 rods brand new and instantly broke on the first use.
