Hoping Lamiglas Stands By Their Warranty.

Got this rod in April as an alternate for blues. Only staring using in the last 3 months and it snapped on a blue in the wash. Yes my drag was set proper. No I did not horse the fish in. Yes I know how to surf fish. Own 3 St croixs and 3 tsunamis and I’ve never had this issue with them.

Very Light

After testing out the penn battalion, diawa FT surf rod, Diawa emblem pro, the Lamiglas insane surf rod was the lightest, sensitive, and has the most back bone to bring in slot size strippers. It’s a great all around plugging and chunking rod ( 4 and bait ), it does it all, my only complaint is that I wish there was a guide in the lower half and or a hook holder.

Light And Strong

Caught 5 dog fish off Long Island south shore easily with this 10’, the rod is lighter than other rods in its price point however there is no guide on the bottom half of the rod, as result your line will tangle every time you take it apart , also, the reel seat seized up with sand after the first session and guides are cheap and the reel seats don’t. Seem like they will hold or last. For the price point I would move towards a Penn battalion , better parts and material . I’m not too confident about it

Not A Bad Rod

This review is based on my personal experience. Is a very light and balanced rod. I personally had a bad experience because the tip of my rod broke off on my first time using it and I lost one of my favorite poppers while trying to cast. I had many rods going from Okuma to st croix and that was the first time something like that happened. Now just hopping to be able to return it since I couldn’t wait and purchased a new mojo.
