La Sportiva has re-styled this shoe, so I wanted to buy another pair in the event the new style didn't work. I switched from Oboz to La Sportiva because I rolled my ankle a few times with the heel of the Oboz. the Sportiva shoes has much wider heel stability for technical hiking trails with lots of roots and rocks. The extra ankle support is exactly what I needed to increase stability. It took a minute to soften around the ankle and they're fine now. I've hiked alot of different technical trails and they increase my safety. The water proof exterior helps work through all the streams we have to navigate as well. I took my regular size in this style and I have a wider toe box and it gave me plenty enough room. It could fit large on some narrow feet, so order 2 sizes.

I was skeptical when these were brought out to me. After I put them on I realized how lightweight they were. They also saved my feet when I was walking around Yellowstone in the snow.

First thing first, super light and very sturdy. Goret ex feature is extra awesome! One thing I don't like is sole has less grip to me on the rocks. Size runs a bit bigger so I got 1/2 size smaller and it was perfect. Otherwise, LOVE LOVE those.

I bought it a month ago and I am so glad that I did. Fits to the size and looks nice as well. Haven't tried them in rain yet to see the durability of gtx membrane.

Bought these when my mom said "I want to go hiking with you!" She is in her 60s and has sciatic-issues. When she first tried them on, I knew she would have something to say about the ankle-support. I told her it was for the better and she'd get used to it. The next day she did 6 miles in them and didn't complain about her feet once. Her favorite features were how "secure" they felt, that her toes had "room to wiggle", the grip and traction ("I didn't slip once! Not even a little!") and above all how lightweight they were. I think their weight alone is credit to us finishing the hike - no added fatigue from the shoe itself. Would recommend to anyone for seasonal hiking!

Ordered this shoe along with another brand hiking boot to compare. Both were nice, but this boot was a better fit, not bulky or cumbersome, and very comfortable. Kept this one and hiked Mt. Elbert in it yesterday. The boot was as comfortable as my trail runners. Four stars only because I had a bit of a traction issue on the difficult section of that climb, but may have had that in any shoe, can't know as it was the first time on that climb. Overall great boot.

I bought these for some extreme hiking in rough terrain.. Gortex never disappoints. I was very surprised at how light they were. The lugs/tread are quite deep so hold well in Mud and scree.

I havent got to hike long miles in these yet. I wore them for a very rainy camping trip. Comfy, light and waterproof! I cant wait to put some miles on them!

These boots are comfortable, even from the first wear. I love how lightweight they are, which was what I was looking for in a hiking boot. This is my first pair of boots in this brand. I would buy them again.

I bought these after rolling my ankle and wanting boots with better support. I was worried that they'd be too heavy and clunky but they aren't! Light weight but super sturdy. Great support all around. My ankle hasn't healed but I was able to run around in these all weekend. Great traction (which I aparently require). Waterproof just as described. And they're super sleek and cool looking! I'm stubborn about the fact that I shouldnt have to own "ugly" boots just to be well protected. I've already gotten multiple compliments on them. They're a little lighter than they looked online but not too light. Lettering isnt as bold as I thought it would be which is a good thing for me. They look good on me ;) (pic is after being used and washed) Overall, very pleased!

My wife loves these shoes. They fit great, have good arch and ankle support, and don't make her feet hurt after miles of hiking hills and trails.

Very happy with the boots, nice product, when I received shipment, I thought the shipping box was empty, it was so light. But inside were some great boots.
