Solid Runner, Light Hiker!

Had 3 pairs and waiting until I can find them in my size to get my next pair.

Solomon Lost A Long Time Customer

So far they seem like a really great replacement for the Solomon xa pro 3-D that I wore for years, but seemed to slip in quality, durability and for the past six years have had the ugliest colors I’ve ever seen. La Sportiva may be my new go to trail runner, assuming they hold up to what I put them through. Awesome colors, arch support. US sizing is a little tricky, but ordering one full size up, seem to work for me.

Exceptional Durability, Built To Last + Stylish.

Undoubtedly one of the greatest shoes I've ever worn and owned. I've been wearing them for over 3 years and have put through many many long and heavy walking filled days in multiple cities and they have still held up with little to no major signs of wear. They're comfortable, built to last, and quality made. They do run a *half-size* big. This is a 100% tried and true, legitimate review, rare for me, but this shoe is deserving of one.

Best All Around California East Side Desert Hker.

I've been wearing this shoe for a few years now, many pairs. This is a fantastic desert hiker, sierra trail shoe. It is light, supportive, and very breathable but doesn't seem to let sand in through the mesh. I also wear it almost every weekend on rock climbing approach hikes and frequently on low fifth class sierra peaks where it performs well but gets torn up quickly jamming cracks. While not what it is intended for, the performance on low fifth class mountain terrain makes it my go to sierra peak bagger. This shoe lets water in, its mesh.

Sturdy But Top Small & Narrow

I love the sturdy construction of this shoe, especially for trails in the rocky southwest. However, this shoe is so small & narrow particularly in the toe box. I tried the women's version in size 11 (I'm usually a W's 10) & I tried it in the men's 43. Both were okay at the beginning but the more miles I hike, the more my feet swell and my toes got all banged up. Please keep the sturdy construction & make wider sizing. I'll probably switch to Altras

Not Bad, But Better Sportiva Models

I have had a pair of wild cats for 4 years and have worn them on and off. I have done a 50k trail race, hiked, and used them as a general shoe. After my 50k I developed plantar fasciitis but switched shoes and it never came back. I recently wore these shoes again on a hike and the day after my heel feels like it’s bruised and I have some knee pain. This could just be a coincidence but as I have ran and hiked in other sportivas and other brands I do believe that it is this shoe. Granted, this shoe has been around awhile so the technology in the shoe is older, I have a pair of Akashas and I have had no issues with those and I would venture to say that all other models of sportivas are a better option. The only pro I have with these are is that they are super durable and rigid in the heel so there would be no issue with support. Cliff notes: if you’re on the the fence between the wild cats and another model, get the other ones.

22 Pairs Owned

At this point I have bought 22 pairs of Wildcats. That should tell you everything you need to know. Originally I bought them for long distance hiking and while I still use them for that, I wear them all the time now.

Great Shoes!

Wildcat is my first pair of La Sportiva shoes and they are the most comfortable hikers I have owned. Minimal break-in, good to go out of the box. A little smaller on sizing, I went up a size and they fit perfect. Highly recommend. Worth the $$.

Hiking

After testing several hiking shoes, I settled on the Wildcats to wear during my AT thru hike. I am extremely satisfied with the durability and comfort of these shoes. I wore through four pairs, each lasting about 600 miles through rugged conditions. After that distance, the mesh tore near the pinky toes and the tread wore bald. I normally wear US size 11.5 but for these shoes I wear 12.5.

Great Trail Runners!

These fit well and have great tread, very useful for trail running or hiking. They're very comfortable and long-lasting, this is my second pair

Too Small

I saw the reviews saying they ran small, so I bumped up from 12 to a 12 1/2. It wasn't enough. They crunched my big toe but they felt so great, I bought a 13 that hasn't arrived yet and gave this pair to one of my sons. That's how good it felt... I want this pair of shoes.

Great Trail Shoe

I've purchased several pairs of these shoes over the last 6 years. They have carried me over numerous mountain ranges, through many creeks and rivers, over 14 thousand foot peaks, through the Grand Canyon and across glaciers. The traction is superb. The "mesh trail cage" allows them to breath better than any shoe I have ever owned, it also allows them to drain water well. Sizing does seem to run small.

Another Great La Sportiva Shoe!r

Used 2 pair of Raptor II Gtx shoes earlier year to walk the 192 mile Coast to Coast. Loved the shoes and wanted a low top shoe when I got back for everyday use. These are ideal and have worked well for all of my various outdoor activities

Perfect

I needed to badly replace a pair of Salomon trial runners that were becoming more duct tape and shoe glue tam actual footwear. I was a little concerned with the sizing but with the exception of the first two runs the fit is now perfect. I think I will eventually regret not springing for the gore-tex version since I like these so much. Rugged and they don't look like power ranger footwear so I can wander comfortably into somewhere after a run.

Great Trail Runner

out of the box, fit like a glove and make you feel like a cat on the trail! grippy soles, insoles give great support. for US sizes, I would suggest going up 1/2 size.
