Great Though They Just Fell Apart
I have had the Evo Nepals for man many years and I love them, especially the warmth and comfort. However, the sole fell apart in the "red layer". The list of mountain boot repair services resulted in no takers, so it appears I cannot get them repaired. La Sportiva, what do I do?

The Standard For Ice Climbing
I think these are the standard, well made and I previously used the Nepal Tops for years, these are even more comfortable and warm, and they are SUPER durable.

Super Disappointed.
I had used them aprox. 10 times for mountaineering - and I loved them! -, then the same happened with me as Rocky29oct. Even if 15 years old pairs of boots I was very disappointed when La Sportiva failed me in the middle of the Himalayas. The company said it is a normal material aging. Well if it is next time please let me know before buying when soles will detache. It can be a crucial information avoiding a frostbite or even worse.

Sole Rubber Disintegrated
I used these boots on few climbs. I always get heel lift no matter what inserts i use. I still liked them until on my climb on Matterhorn, the sole got detached. When i looked at it, one of the sole rubber material just disintegrated and the sole fell apart. It contacted lasportiva but so far no response at all..

Wonderful Fit. Solid Boot.
Love this boot. Been out several times in ice/snow and it’s totally solid. Fit is fantastic. Was a bit of a risk as I had a pair of Makulas and the fit just want right for me. Great with crampons.

My Favorite Right Now
I opted for the sportiva napal GTX some months back, tha hallmark of a great boot is no brake in time, it was a perfect fit from the start, always take the socks you’ll be wearing when trying out new boots, my favorite pair right now.

Comfortable Right Out Of The Box.
Super comfortable right out of the box. I had expected some break in miles would be necessary before I took these on a serious trip but was surprised they felt so good right from the start. I put about 5 miles on them to verify fit and pack in the padding. Only changes I had to make was learning the best way to tighten the laces. They are warm and rugged. Work great with MSR Lightning Ascent snowshoes and Grivel G14 (strap) crampons. Automatics would be a treat.

Excellent Single Boot
First pair of legitimate mountaineering boots. They're as expected for the price paid and craftsmanship of how they were made. Never been a fan of any Gore-tex footwear, and as expected after I fell through the ice a couple time when I came home I found the inside pretty damp. I have a 47.5 which fit the Petzl Vasaks perfectly with no need to get a bigger crossbar. Overall really happy with them, but below 10F have to be cautious because they can get cold if you stop long enough to boil snow or while setting up camp. Also a little discomfort with my right ankle after going past a 10mi day, but I think these were intended only to be used for quick climbs and home by nightfall.

Best Around
I have now purchased my third pair of these for my husbands work boots. He absolutely loves them! He is always hesitant to wear them to work because he loves the way they look and doesnt want them to get dirty. He is on his feet 12-16 hours a day and he swears by the support and comfort he only gets from these. He no longer has leg or back pain like he did wearing other brands. And the only reason we have had to purchase multiple pairs is due to the fact he wears down the soles from the constant wear and tear. The comfort however never leaves. Best buy ever!

Absolutely Love ‘Em
This is my second pair of Evo’s. First pair lasted about 5 years of daily wear at work on power lines . Feel great and awesome support for climbing poles and towers

Wonderful!
I have had many pairs of La Sportiva boots over the past 20 years or so. They are typically high quality and long-lasting. This boot is no exception. I use it primarily for snowshoeing and winter mountaineering. The fit was perfect from first use, with very secure stability and grip. As long as they fit properly, I highly recommend them. I actually bought a second pair to have in reserve if these ever die on me.

Nepal Evo
Great fit. I had the sportiva Karakoram’s and absolutely hated them. They hurt my feet and cut off circulation at my Achilles’ tendon. The Nepal evo is a far better fitting boot. I use them for power line work. Very comfortable climbing boot and if you can get used to the stiff sole, they are good on the ground too. Warmer than your traditional leather pole climbing boot and the sole will last at least a full year working on asphalt, which is rare. True fit, I didn’t size up and am happy with the size I bought.
