My "go-to" trail runner for the past many years has been the LaSportiva Wildcat. on a whim (sale price), I decided to try the Bushido II. I am not disappointed. it feels lighter, but still has great support and gives me great sure-footed grip that I love.

These shoes fit very well to my somewhat thin feet. they are very sturdy and light. Great for trail running due to their firm soles. They look great also.

I use these as a lighter and more comfortable alternative to Salomon Speedcross, my “go to” trail running shoes, for light hiking and knock around shoes. The Bushidos have more cushioning and a softer ride. Great shoes!

This is my third pair of Bushidos and I keep coming back to the well. They last about 250 miles on rough trail/talus before the tread wears down. I’ll keep buying these until the cows come home.

Absolutely loving these shoes so far! Comfortable and holding up nicely to the sharp, lava rock covered tracks I'm frequenting. They look great too. Definitely need to size up though. I usually wear an 11 and 12 was the correct fit.

I bought this shoe as a general kick around shoe and have added it into my running shoe rotation and went a head and ordered a second pair to have ready when the time comes. This shoe runs VERY small. I normally wear a 45 and after two returns am wearing a 46.5 and could easily wear a 47.

I bought them because I like what I read in reviews and like the colors. I have another pair of waterproof sports as and both are very good. Wasn’t disappointed. Very comfortable.

Great construction, material, support, and grip. Strongly recommend for running, hiking, and approaches. I scramble up a lot of slippery rocks/scree and these shoes latch onto whatever/wherever I step. They've also held up during water crossings and dry fairly quickly. Complaints about La Sportive shoes being too narrow are reasonable. I purchased these based on that because I’m always walking out of shoes due to having a narrow heel. These fit perfectly and are secure/snug.

I ordered these shoes after reading some great reviews on them. Unfortunately they did not fit my feet at all, so I was very disappointed in that. But the build quality sure seemed top notch!

I bought these shoes because I thought the color scheme looked cool. As it turns out, they are extremely well made and super comfy! They fit true to size

I bought these two months ago and they have held up to any rocky terrain I throw at them. Having owned different pairs of La Sportiva running shoes these would be geared more towards technical terrain given their narrow base and ample grip. The breaking ability on these (as with most La Sportiva's) is incredible and really can be felt when bombing mountain ridges.

These shoes have great grip. Rockplate is solid. I put 1000+ trail miles on my last pair. Comfortable. Sizing is unique to make sure to try these on before ordering.

I've been trail running in leather low hiking shoes to get sufficient under foot and side-to-side support. Obviously the weight and lack of breathability and to some extent the rigidity was not ideal. I also have a very good pair of Merrell trail runners that I use on roads and packed trials. But they are relatively light and unstructured and my ankles have been rolled so many times that they always feel to me like I'm at risk. Enter Bushido II. Wow. Very rigid under foot. Tight on top (order 1/2 size up or even 1 full size up if you have a high volume foot). They will still be somewhat tight but in a good way. The net of it is that my foot is held very secure side-to-side and underfoot. This is noticeably better than any trail running shoe I've ever used. I don't find them overbuilt -- but rather just right for me, 180 lb 60 year old with a lot of ankle and knee issues over a lifetime. If you are much lighter or your tendons are in better shape maybe you wouldn't need this shoe. Even then I doubt it would impede you. But the overall security and precision of my footfalls now is a great pleasure, and the shoes have just the right amount of cushioning consistent with providing structure and support. They are pricey, but it seems most of the shoes in this segment are. I think these are fantastic. I had my best trail run in years the first day I wore them. I highly recommend them.

This purchase has been my seventh pair of bushidos over 4 years. I walk about 4 miles a day when not skiing or golfing. These have been the most comfortable and closest fitting shoes I have worn over the years. I have a medium to narrow foot. They last about 12-16 weeks when I use them at least 4 miles a day. Well worth replacing them for the comfort, fit, grip, and ride they provide.

Replaced a pair of original Bushido’s with these. Happy to report they are an improvement over the previous model for me. Nice, grippy soles, comfortable uppers, and the expected narrow-ish fit common to La Sportiva footwear. This narrow fit makes this shoe great for technical scrambling as long as you have a compatible foot shape. These won’t work for everyone. I wear US 9.5 in most shoes but purchased these in 43 (roughly US 10) and they fit appropriately snugly.
