I had to find an adapter to the drop down tow hitch on the Volvo XC90 for my Yakima 4-bike rack. I had asked about a fit and received a post to assure the fit. The extension adds on some length but it’s sturdy and allows me to still use the bike rack.

Needed so I could open the tailgate of a Chevy Colorado while a NV 2.0 is attached. This provides just enough clearance to do so, and also provides additional approach clearance to compensate for extended length.

Worked perfect to bring my rack past my spare tire on my new Bronco. The steel was super thick. The unit was very heavy and worked great with my new rack. Has a durable finish. Yet to be seen if it will rust.

I bought this hitch h extension to raise the height of my Kuat Sherpa bike rack a little. I have a Chevy Equinox and the hitch height is too close to ground for my comfort. This product installed in 5 minutes using the included tools and raised my hitch 2.5”. It has made my bike rack more useable on rough terrain. I’d recommend it as a great value for an extension. I used the 7” extension but if you want you can use the second set of holes and extend the hitch another 10”.

Great item, well built, but just doesn't work for me. Wanted more room between vehicle and bike rack but even with the lift the extended length causes scraping of my rack on my driveway and even some intersections in my neighborhood. Will keep as it may work better with a future vehicle.
