Love These!

Nice looking, stable, comfortable, waterproof shoe. Don't get hung up on the "men's" or "hiking" description. Women can wear them too, and they're great around town and for long walks on rainy days.

I love these shoes, have had several pairs. I wear them all the time, everyday all winter long, spring and fall in the wet and mud. Great traction in all conditions. Good Value

Good Shoe, But Misled By Size Guidance

I like the Targhee IV and I’ve bought three pairs this winter (one as a gift). They grip really well on ice, and they are generally comfortable. The problem I have is that, when I bought my first pair, the Keen website said that these shoes run large and that I should buy a pair that is half a size smaller than usual. I followed the Keen guidance and it turned out to be completely false. The first pair is too small and also not really wide at all. Unfortunately, I waited too long to seek an exchange so I’m stuck with this small, tight pair of shoes. I think Keen should have made an exception on exchanges because their website misled me in my selection. (Note: the website has since been updated and it now says these run true to size. ) I’ve always been a Keen person and this probably won’t change that, but it is disappointing and a waste of my money. My advice to you is to ignore the size suggestions on the Keen website and just buy the size that you normally would. It’s also disappointing that Keen wide shoes are not actually wide like they used to be. Maybe they have new suppliers.

So far I have just been breaking them in. They are quite comfortable thanks to the ample toe box. Will see how they fair when I actually wear them hiking in the future.

Love Them Except. . .

Don’t think their as wide as advertised. . . I have bunions and love Keens for the wide toe box. I have a pair of Austins and they are wonderful. Well, always wanted the Targhees and bought the wide model. Well, not near as wide as the Austins. Other than that, they are wonderful and I think I’m slowly breaking them in!

I've been wearing Keen shoes for decades, yes I'm that old. These are just as comfortable and perform just as well as my previous Keen shoes. Also, these are my everyday shoes, so they get plenty of use.

Comfortable, Warm, And Waterproof

I have had several pairs of Keen hiking shoes. They build great product that is comfortable, and sturdy. They are a bit on the heavy side but that does not bother me in the least.
