I bought this tarp because a buddy had one that he pitched on a motorcycle trip that was rainy and cold, and it totally saved our bacon. I won’t go on a trip without it now. It gets down to the size of a softball, and it can smoosh infinitely smaller. I recently pitched it over a hammock on a motorcycle camping trip, and I was the only one in the group with a hammock that actually stayed dry in a pretty crazy storm. This can be pitched with poles on the ground or tied off to a tree or the rope on your hammock. As far as coverage, this is good for up to 4 people to cram in underneath in camping chairs with room for a tiny table in the middle. I will likely only ever need it for two people, and it will be nice and spacious for that purpose.
