Kerlon 1200 outer tent fabric and 9mm poles make for a very lightweight yet supremely stable tent.
All season construction: outer tent walls extend to the ground and mesh areas are backed with adjustable fabric panels.
Dome construction with multiple pole crossing points provide outstanding snow-load handling capability.
Plenty of room for three occupants and their gear.
Linked but seperable inner and outer tent for simultaneous pitching.
Fully free standing dome design requires no pegs for pitching, and the straightforward short sleeve and clip pole system make for quick, easy set up.
Dual entrances and vestibules ensure that one door can always be situated out of the wind and provide flexible entry/exit and storage options.
An optional footprint covers the entire area of the outer tent, including the vestibules. It connects directly to the tent, and can be left attached during pitching.
The inner tent can be replaced with a Mesh Inner tent (sold separately; see accessories).
The outer and inner tents can be used separately. Pitching the inner tent alone requires optional pole holderes

Bomber And Versatile!
I've been thinking about buying a Hilleberg tent for a long time and finally decided to go for it in preparation for a trek in Iceland this summer. I started using the tent for camping in the White Mountains this spring and I am not disappointed! The price is high, but the quality is there. In choosing the Allak 3, I wanted a STURDY tent that would protect me from the wind, rain and cold of Iceland while not being too hot for summer use at home in southern Canada. After a few nights in this tent, I can definitely say that it was a good choice. The design allows you to adjust the ventilation optimally depending on the outside temperature. With a few simple adjustments, it never gets too hot or too cold. I never had a problem with condensation (this tent has condensation, like all tents, but no more than average). Also, the tent is very easy to pitch: all three poles are the same length and the inner tent is linked to the outer tent, which allowed me to pitch it in the pouring rain without getting the interior wet. The weight is reasonable for hiking when the tent is divided between two people, but I wouldn't be willing to carry such a heavy tent if not for the fact that I will need a bomber shelter in Iceland. Also, realistically, this is a two-person tent. I can't imagine sleeping in it for more than one or two nights with three people! Overall, a very pricey piece of gear, but worth every penny if you need the protection and won’t settle for anything but the best.

Good Tents
Easy to set up and withdraw! !! The fly, inner, and separately sold footprints can be set up and withdrawn at once, so it's easy and you can't stop. The height is reasonable, so you can spend your time comfortably. I could put more things in the front and back space than I expected

Just Ridiculous
This tent really lives up to the hype. The build quality and materials are unlike any tent I’ve ever owned. I have used it in a few environments now from hot to cold and was comfortable throughout and easy to setup in bad conditions due to the design. Highly highly recommend

Impressive
This is my first Hilleberg tent - I've owned many tents over the years, but never had the budget or ability to splurge on one of these. As you would expect with the reputation, and the price, this tent exudes quality. The materials, workmanship, and general design are impressive. A couple weeks of ownership isn't long enough to give a good, detailed review. But I've had this tent out with two adults using 25" wide mats, and two dogs, and there was plenty of room to spare. The couple of nights we spent in it were cold and rainy (lows in the high 30s/low 40s) with heavy winds (>25mph + gusts) and we were kept comfortably dry and the tent unscathed. A few other tents we saw in the area the next morning had collapsed. We look forward to many more nights with this, and I was impressed enough to go out and buy a Hilleberg Akto for some of my solo trips.

Anticipated To Be The Best Tent Ever
this tent will accompany me for the upcoming Broad Peak trip - once the pandemic has been condemned. Meanwhile, I will be using it for training and back country skiing in the alps with a few overnight hiking trips with the kids sprinkled in. On our last trip, my daughter (9) liked it so much that she wanted to buy it from - it told here that she can borrow it any time.

The Tent Is Only 86" Long, Not The Advertised 91"
Hilleberg lists the length of this tent as 91" long. The tent I received is only 86" long. This lines up with other online chatter about this tent. The specs are wrong. Contact Hilleberg before purchasing this tent to attain the correct specs.

Spacious, Solid.
I am fortunate to be able to afford to have several Hillebergs. I had my experience with Allak 2. See my review of which I was not very impressed with the tent after all the glorious reviews about it. Now onto Allak 3. I use all my tents on kayak trips on the Pacific. This tent is very spacious for a single person. Which is how I like them. Every day of the trip winds were in the 20-30 knot range on exposed coast, with heavy rain several hours every day. Unlike the Allak 2, this tent had absolutely no issues whatsoever, besides condensation, which is normal with 100% relative humidity. So all in all if you plan on using this tent 20-30 knights a year then it’s worth considering. Otherwise look for something in more reasonable price range. As there are many other great tents for a lot less. And do not be mislead to the fact the since the outer and inner can be set up at the same time, it has better weather protection. It still gets wet inside.
