The outer tent fabric is Kerlon 1200 and the poles are 9mm, which makes for a super lightweight and stable tent
Offers a nice amount of room for being such a light tent, and can be used all seasons
Designed for short and long trips in less harsh environments and conditions in all seasons like the forests in winter and summer
Great for withstanding heavy storms, but the lighter weight is not ideal on super harsh extended trips
Capable of withstanding heavy storm conditions, and the lighter weight is why some experienced hikers take this along instead of a more durable, heavier tent
Outer tent goes all the way to the ground for awesome all weather protection
Designed using lighter weight zippers and inner tent and floor fabrics to keep the weight at a minimum
The mesh areas are backed with adjustable fabric panels, so when the outer tent walls extend all the way to the ground the mesh moves with it freely
The tunnel construction makes taking along on hiking trips super easy without breaking your back, thanks to its maximum space to weight ratio
Comfortably fits one person and their gear without making it seem cramped
The inner and outer tent is connected but has the ability to be separated for simultaneous pitching
Features guy lines, integrated door and vents, fiberglass rods, zipper flaps, and a pocket to stay organized. Amazing.
To do a basic pitching, you really only need the four pegs in the head and foot end guy lines plus the single-opening continuous pole sleeve and tensioner system. Super stable and easy.
Single entrance tent with single vestibule configuration allows for easy entrance and storage space
Add on the optional footprint (not included) that will cover the entire tent and vestibule and can be left attached to the tent even when pitching. Footprints add extra durability, protection from the elements, and longevity to your tent's life, so for sure think about adding it to your order.
For added customization and versatility, the inner tent can be replaced with a Mesh Inner tent. Mesh Inner tent is not included, please don't hate us.
Experience total flexibility with the outer and inner tents' capability of being used separately
Pitching the inner tent on its own will require the purchasing of optional pole holders as they are not included. Sorry I bragged about them earlier.
Tent comes with all the pegs, poles, and lines you need to get setup, but grabbing a few extras wouldn’t be a bad thing
Hilleberg offers a variety of accessories to go along with this tent, which allow for additional stability, flexibility, and durability when you will need it most
Please note on the colors that the actual tent color can vary from the one pictured due to the natural variations of fabric dyes

Great One Person Tent
Just picked this up for solo tripping here in Alaska. As I have gotten older, lighter weight everything has become very important. This tent is stout and will stand up to the backcountry trips I like to take. I also love to pack raft, so this tent offsets some of that pakcraft kit weight. Some might not like that this tent is not free-standing, but it's not an issue for me. The free-standing Hilleberg option is heavier and more expensive.

Awesome Tent!
I love everything about this tent. Build quality is second to none and it’s easy to set up. There’s plenty of room to store your gear and on a recent night I spent in it, I had no condensation even though it was a very dewy evening. Granted, it’s not cheap, but it’s a good example of “you get what you pay for.” Lastly, I love the look of the tent and it’s profile I know will work well on exposed and windy sites.

Nothing Like A Hilleberg
My first Hilleberg--only been seeing at a distance and dreaming. Exceeded expectations: workmanship outstanding, quality of materials visibly, tangibly, functionally obvious from the get go. The zippers are silky. The fabric feels reliable. The slides on the tiedowns are beautifulIy designed for true bulky-mittens-in-a-snowstorm pitching, as Bo Hilleberg claims. Just completely love that Akto silhouette, and the inner tent (on this one-person design!) is roomy and comfy enough for two dogs (180 lbs total) and me, and one of them is a tad standoffish at bedtime. Only wish you guys carried the mesh inner tent--this thing will be outstanding for winter camping but a bit toasty for warm weather. Ordered the mesh from the factory.

Very Solid Tent Perfect For The Hi Alpine
I purchased the foot print and an extra pole to double pole in big storms. This feature of double piling can be done with all Hilleberg tents. In sustained winds this is important. Like all Hilleberg products your weak link is how well your stakes hold. Hilleberg stakes are high quality too. The adjustable guy lines make tensioning bomber.

Amazing Quality
Have used the Akto on some bike trips. Quick and easy set up, a lot of attention to detail, exactly what you’d expect from a Hilleberg tent. Yet I’m looking forward to testing it out on some solo treks in the near future.

Top Quality
This tent is simple and elegant. The materials are excellent and it is easy to set up. It’s lightweight and easily packable. Roomy enough for one person and his/her gear. The classic phrase “you get what you pay for” applies to this tent. You’ll pay, but it will be worth it

Should Have Bought Years Ago
I finally know why Hilleberg is the know as the highest quality tents. Over the years, purchases “less expensive” tents and have always been a little disappointed. Everything about the Akto smells of quality.

Best Tent Ever
This tent is a perfect balance between sturdy material and lightness. No compromises. Finally I got a tent that I can fit properly. I am a taller person and I finally got a tent that I can fit in properly. Quality craftsmanship, practical and light, worth every penny.

Bomber Tent
I have used this tent from the backwoods of Alaska to the hills of Hawaii. From the swamps of Louisiana to the icecap of greenland. This is my only tent. It’s versatile and light which allows me to use it in any environment. I love it.

Atko Does Not Disappoint
Needed a 3-4 season go to ends of earth and back and this is the ticket. May not be as light as some but will keep you dry and safe in adverse conditions

Leaks
Leaked the first time I used it right around the vent.Called Hilleberg USA said it was not a leak but moisture even though I have a video of water leaking in! Very bad support in the USA. Otherwise its a heavy tent for long hiking, however as long as they have fixed the leak caused by the wire above the vent these are great tents. I also met another hiker with the same tent and it leaked in the same location .
