High Maintenance Bike

Bought for my 13 year old for Xmas last year, it was great for once a week bike ride... But once he started writing was the neighborhood kids, it became nothing but a problem. The bike is built very poorly, the rear gear shifter is held by aluminum bracket that bends extremely easily. He got bumped by another bicycle in the back wheel, the back wheel got bent... It is absurd how soft the rims are. The front gear shifters are easy after a few months of heavy use... Chain keeps falling of when going riding off-road, even though tension is right. My $150 Walmart Schwinn is a bulletproof tank and has zero issues in years. This bike is high maintenance nightmare. Very disappointed a year after the purchase.

Indestructible

I’ve had this bike for 13 months and it’s been a true warrior. Anything you can think of it has handled. Extreme trail riding, commuting, jumps, and more. And this is with it having aftermarket racks and accessories. Highly recommended if you need a do-it-all bike. Maybe look into getting better brakes and grips though as the stock ones perform poorly in wet conditions

Heavyset Mountain Bike

A great quality bike. Heavy and sturdy. Wouldn’t recommend for street biking. The bike is heavy.

Assemble It Yourself, Or Have It Checked By A Professional.

Front tire fell off after 3 rides. Faceplanted the pavement, scraped up knees, elbows and broke 2 teeth. Luckily I was in a city park and not in traffic. Now I have a bent up rim, that needs replacing. Before my tire debacle, my gearshifting clicked occasionally, it always seemed that the 1st and 2nd gear were the same speed.

I Didn’t Believe The Negative Reviews But Should Have

I never write reviews but because this is so dangerous I felt that it is necessary. As others have mentioned, the gear shifting on this bike is awful. It gets off track and then locks up to the point where my son is thrown off the bike. So incredibly dangerous! We bought it for Christmas and have already had it serviced twice (in 5 months!!). Do not risk your child’s safety with this!
