My partner and I used this as our sole water filter for 10 days in the wilderness. Pros: It can act like a water bottle. You are able to fill a reservoir for camp use in a reasonable time (not the quickest, not the slowest). You can use it while mid hike. It has withstood a porcupine eating all the rubber off the outside. Cons: It is not great for large groups. The advertised filter rate of 5 L/min is highly inaccurate (more like one press per minute which would be 700ml per minute). Can be hard to balance while 'pressing' if ground is uneven. Palms can get sore if filtering significant amounts of water.
