This machete has been a life saver after we had a rough winter storm. I was able to saw through the bigger branches with the rough blade while seamlessly slicing though the smaller ones. I was able to get my yard maintained and looking semi back in shape thanks to this product. The grip was excellent and didn’t cause my hands to get sore after a few hours of yard work. I was extremely impressed with the sharpness of these blades and how quickly I was able to get everything done

Overall, I really like the Gator Machete Jr. it’s a really convenient size and weight so I can easily carry it around. Balance-wise, this machete is pretty blade-heavy, which helps with making chopping swings feel natural. The handle itself is very lightweight and has a good ergonomic feel and a very grippy rubber. I’ve tried both the blade and the saw and both seem reasonably sharp and made quick work of the wooded vines and fallen tree limbs around my property. I do have a couple gripes on the specific design though! One is the safety rope. It just kind of loosely loops into the handle. While the design of the handle seems to be able to catch the rope to prevent slipping, it would be nice to be able to cinch it down so it feels more secure. One nitpick I do have as well is that the saw blade extends a bit closer to the tip of the blade than I would like. I used the machete to split some branches to help them light more easily, and I like being able to secure both ends of the blade to push down. With the saw teeth so close to the end the amount of space I can use to grip the end of the blade is pretty small! Just a minor concern based on how I specifically would like to use the machete! The sheath is quite nice as well, although as a lefty it’s a bit inconvenient if I want to wear it on my belt. It would be great to see a more ambidextrous design since the machete itself is ambidextrous!

Very very nice machete. It is super sharp making it an excellent tool to use out in the woods or even in the backyard. The handle is nice and comfortable making it easy to hold on to. I would definitely suggest this brand to anyone. It’s very versatile and light weight. 10/10 for sure.

This is heavy duty, and comes with a protective case. It has been so useful for cutting weeds and branches this spring. The handle allows for a strong grip and the overall design is lightweight.

I expected this to be better then what it was. I feel like it was sharp but cutting a smaller limb it took more effort than I expected. Overall it cuts but would only be good for small limbs. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.

Nice! This Gerber Gear machete is sturdy and well made .it is durable and easy to use .you can simply carry it on your belt or in a bag.it works quite well.it’s an excellent tool for anyone who enjoys outdoor activities.

The Gator Machete Jr has a great grip for small/medium job tasks outside the house. The sharp blade and edged side help with yard work and trimming branches

Great strong durable product . It performs the way it’s supposed to ! Great shape for the hand doesn’t slip . The tip is a lil dull but it’s sharp enough to cut the branches ! Great product to have for camping!

This machete is a great multipurpose tool for the homestead. We used it this week wow clearing some brush. The design is great. The serrated edge is very helpful and the grip is perfect. This tool will live on our side-by-side for convenient use.

The Gerber Jr machete is not so Jr to me. It was super useful and very effective at cutting out bush in my back yard. The construction is very sturdy knife is extremely sharp so using it for what it supper to do, cut through things, is a joy. The device feels solid in your hand and also like the holster to make sure it stays away from all the rest of the people who are not suppose to touch it.

This Gerber machete is the perfect size and balanced weight to us correctly. The grip feels nice in the hand and has a good hefty feel to it. It is just the right size to carry around safely too, which is nice. The blade is solid and looks to be durable for whats its indeed to be used for. The included sheath is great value, has a protector in it and is made very well. This will be carried around regularly for tasks around our property.

Five stars - this thing is the real deal! The Gerber Gator Machete Jr feels solid and well built right out of the sheath. Love the dual blade design with the saw edge on one side, makes it so much more useful than a regular machete. The rubber grip handle is comfortable and non-slip, and the nylon sheath is sturdy with a velcro strap to keep it secure. Great size for yardwork, camping, or clearing brush. Quality you can trust from Gerber. Highly recommend!
