So Frustrating

There’s no clear method to see which spacers you need for your specific bike. Using the best combo I’ve found for my bike there is still additional chain noise so I essentially need to tune the derailleur differently for on trainer and again for road riding. Ride feel is very different than road riding also

Pretty Great-but You May Need Tools To Assemble

This trainer is great! I appreciate the real road feel. It works with or without power. You do not need to have a subscription to use it. I have an 8 speed bike and the kit provides a spacer for proper fit. The main unit packs up smaller and is fairly portable. Lots to love about this trainer! Now for some of the items that are not as nice. This trainer needs specific tools in order to assemble to cassette onto the bicycle. If you are an avid rider who has taken cassettes on and off your bikes then this is not a problem. If you are a casual rider such as myself then be prepared to ask friends for it or go to a bike shop. The actual assembly is straight forward and easy, but without the tools you will struggle. They recommend buying a new cassette to leave on your bike if possible, and I agree. If someone else is using the bike and wants a different cassette it will be a pain to change. Again. Not difficult with the tools, but not something I want to do frequently. With all this said you may wonder why my review is still five stars. Before this purchase I had two different trainers. I bought the wahoo kickr with Zwift cog initially. The set up was much easier, but it requires a subscription to use any programming. That meant that despite being half price of the neo it would easily cost more in just two years. I immediately returned the unit, because I felt like my bike was held hostage to their subscription. I also had a back wheel on model, but it needed a lot of tire changes and everyday tire inflation, so it’s a lot less work with the neo. Buy the neo. No forced subscription. Great biking feel. Minimal work once set-up. Casual and expert riders will love!

Best Bike Trainer

This bike trainer is amazing, the flywheel is super realistic and it is not so heavy that you are unable to set up and tear down your garage set up. Very easy to get your bike attached. You will need to purchase your own cassette and the mounting tools to attach to the trainer. Tacx is a good system but sometimes the laptop software is glitchy. The simulated road feel is ok, a nice touch but not something that is utilized if you are using garmin workout plans only during simulated rides

Great Indoor Option For Riding

I bought the trainer this winter to try and step up my triathlon game in the off season. Both me and wife wife used it on my carbon road bike and her carbon tri bike. We used a new Shimano 10 speed cassette on the trainer for both my Shimano set and her SRAM set, no issues with compatibility. I would suggest you use the same chain oil/wax to not have any cross contamination using differing lubrication. As for function. I tried to use the Trax Trainer software and the Garmin Connect Software through my watch (the Trax software does sync with garmin connect, but not for battery level or a couple of other daily measurements). Leaving both workouts on there gets all the data and it mostly doesn't allow excess milage, but I have seen it show up in a couple spots twice. They could improve on that. As for the Tacx software. The routes are good, but not as interactive as the peloton or other apps out there. Though I've climbed some pretty gnalry passes throughout the word now using it. I think that's the best part about the app, the climbing portions. It also keeps it less boring, but also really easy to over train if you're not careful. I might try interfacing it with some other software next winter but for now I'll use the nice clear roads through the summer and fall months.

Awesome Sauce

This thing is great. Easy to set up and sync to your devices. Just make sure you get a second cassette to dedicate to training.

Trax Neo T2 Smart Trainer

Bought this last week, Came fast and is what I wanted. Thing is it didn’t come with the cassette as shown. Can’t use it without it. Hoping the store can help me with this.

There's no better trainer. Very smooth and accurate. Looking forward to upgrade to the motion plates. Only gripe is the provided skewer seems to be a little finicky, but I may have a defective one... The under lights make up for it!

Tacx¾ Neo 2t Smart Bike Trainer: The Ultimate Indoor Ride

Who needs the great outdoors when you have the Tacx® NEO 2T Smart Bike Trainer? Setup was so easy, even my cat tried to help. And by help, I mean she sat in the box and judged me. 🐱 Once I got it going, I was instantly transported to a world where hills are just a setting on my app and headwinds are a thing of the past. The ride is so smooth, I almost forgot I wasn't actually outside. Plus, it's quieter than a ninja tiptoeing through a library, so my neighbors have no idea I'm cycling at 5 AM. The best part? It's fully compatible with Zwift! Now I can race through virtual landscapes and climb the Alps without leaving my living room. My legs hate me, but my heart loves it. Five stars, two thumbs up, and a high-five from my cat. 🐱👍

Indoor Training - Bike

This Garmin trainer impresses with its realistic feel. The resistance is not perfectly smooth like some trainers, creating a welcome sense of imbalance that mimics riding outdoors. Unlike some competitors (e.g., Wahoo Trainer), the Garmin eschews an auto-stabilization algorithm, leaving you in control of maintaining a steady power output. This can be a great benefit for cyclists who want a more dynamic and engaging indoor training experience.

Reliability day in and day out. Myself and two sons use the trainer daily. Each of us using a different app to manage training on the NEO 2T. The TacX hasn't skipped a beat going for multiple hours each day and jumping from one app to the next.

This trainer has a very realistic "road feel" in terms of simulating grade and momentum (though I had to fine-tune it by changing my weight in my account settings). It also simulates the surface of the road which is a cool feature that seems unnessessary to me but you can turn that down or off. The compatible apps, I find, are as great motivator, as well.

Perfect Trainer

This direct drive trainer has been great over the first ten rides. It is smooth, stable, and quiet. Every review that I have read in the past has been accurate in everything that they have said. I am not a fan of the "road feel" as I am riding over dirt or cobbles but I turn it off and it is back to smooth. My fan is louder than the trainer and my wife cannot hear it at all and my dog sleeps next to me while I ride. The set-up was easy and I was riding within 30 minutes. I have not issues with it and it makes me want to ride more on indoors. 5 out of 5, 10 out of 10 - Just purchase it you won't be disappointed.

Smart Trainers Rock!

I've had a lot of fun with this thing since buying it. The setup is easy (cassette not included), accommodates most bikes, and is incredibly quiet. Some features I've enjoyed include increasing the resistance to match the gradient (including downhill), and it even rumbles and shakes to match the texture of the ground on Zwift. I'm sure it acts the same with the Garmin apps, but I haven't explored those yet. My only regret is waiting this long to buy one.

Flawless

There are less expensive units out there but this one works very well. It's smooth and ride quality is solid. If you are one that doesn't compromise you will not be disappointed

The Best Trainer Money Can Buy.

Provides a top-notch indoor riding experience with realistic feel. There's also enough play in the system to provide some comfort when climbing or sprinting.
