Epix Is Epic.
Nice looking watch with many great features but the wrist band is too small for my wrist. I would rate higher with a larger wrist band.

Tons Of Beautiful Features!
I got my watch about two weeks ago and I actually traded my Apple Watch for it. I still haven’t apple but this watch has surpassed the apple by far. I love all of the features. Weather health fitness!! Literally all the things I care about. The only thing I was bummed about is the battery. I bought my husband the 51mm for Christmas and loved all that he showed me it could do but also his 31 day battery life with mine only getting 10 days. That was a disappointment.

Great Features!
I bought this watch a few weeks ago and I love it. I like the morning recap I get everyday when I wake up. It provides information on how well I slept and recovered. I like that I have the ability to customize what it reports on. I had a Venu2 and I really liked that watch as well but the epix Pro has more features that I love like maps which comes in handy when I hike. Overall, I'm extremely happy with this purchase.

Pros/cons
I purchased this because they no longer make the Swim2. I am a competitive Masters Swimmer but also do triathlons. In the swim feature this watch is completely screwed up regarding calorie count. I still have my Swim2 but it no longer holds a charge more than a day. I have been wearing them both during swim practice. The swim2 still keeps track of everything but has always been a little off on yardage. I may swim 4000yds and the Swim2 tracks only 3600 (despite it being all swimming, not kicking). The Epix is accurate for yardage but INACURRATE for calories. It has tracked that I've burned 200 less calories than swim2 on some days. Other days it thinks I've burned 2600 calories in an hour of swimming. That is a bit frustrating. Also, the sleep measure is off. If I go to sleep at 8:50pm I'm asleep by a little after 9pm yet the Epix data says I fell alseep at 10:15pm?? The Epix is much higher tech than swim2 with tons more features because also used for triathlons or lots of other activities. I have an old Garmin Forerunner 935 that I've kept using for running and biking so I really didn't need to spend the $ on Epix but thought it would be as good as Swim2. It isn't. On the Plus side, all the fancy features, including O2 sat monitoring are nice. If you are looking for a new high tech multi-sport watch I think Epix is great in that regard. However, if you are a swimmer, and just want a Swim2 replacement you can probably find something to do the job at a lower price tag. I've added pictures of the inaccurate calorie count. Also, my recovery HR was never as low as it documents.

Great Support For Any Activity
I am extremely happy with this watch's size and functions. I was unsure what size to buy but at 5'-11", 170 lbs. I was concerned that the bigger watches would feel and look cumbersome. I am glad I chose the 42mm as it looks normal (approriate) on my 7-1/4" wrist. The watch is very easy to get started but as expected overwhelming, confusing and at times frustrating to operate and explore various activities and functions. Don't let that disuade you. I suggest picking out one thing at a time to learn based on your individual needs and desires. I downloaded the support center index of topics and user manual, both of which are very helpful and well written by topic with step by step instructions. Garmin has done a great job with their support documents. Although the button functions seem intuitive, the sequence of operation is still confusing with many false clicks. I will not use the screen swipe methods until thoroughly learning the sequence of steps to accomplish basic settings. I started with customiizing Glances which are very useful quick references. The Morning Report is a interesting function but I don't yet know what all its reports mean. I followed by customizing the activities selection sequence to apps that I use most. For example, during workouts I have my heartrate on the first click from the menu button. Customizing each app and display will take time. All settings are extremely customizable. Using the "Hiking" app I learned to customize the various display screens with multiple data views on each several but the compass is on a screen by itself. I have synced Alltrails maps and started customizing Navigation and it has loaded all my saved maps. Have not tried actual map tracking yet. Default settings are all pretty good but the beauty of the device is the ability to customized to individual needs. This is also just a great looking watch; there are scores of watch face options. I most appreciate that this watch has the ability to evolve with me over time in data detailing and personalization. You will both enjoy this watch from the start and as you work with it over time. Don't get frustrated.
