I have been wearing this during a week of spring hiking in the hills of northern England and it has been great, keeping me comfortable in cloudy sunshine, short sharp downpours, hail, prolonged drizzle and strong wind on exposed ridges. It fits me perfectly and looks great. My favourite jacket.

Not water resistant, which was the reason for my purchase. Just came in from out in maybe medium rain for 10 mins and my shirt sleeves and back are wet along the seams of the jacket. It feels wet inside the jacket. Really thought it would be better than this. For those who are considering, the waist is oddly far tighter than the rest.

Read many reviews about the fit of this jacket and thought I'd list my findings. I'm 5"9"/175cm tall, 42"/107cm chest, sometimes need the width of a 44"/112 chest. In Fjallraven I wear mens Medium Vardag Sweater and Large Skogso Padded jacket and its comfortable. For the Sten I needed the XL and the fit is as perfect as the L Skogso, with a Sweater underneath. Some report the arms to be long but when you reach and stretch that extra 5cm is needed especially if wearing a backpack. So size up people, and as for the Quality and style well thats not in question otherwise none of us would be on this website

The arms are super long and big, the chest is disproportionately slim. Very little wind breaking ability and not very water repellent. Not great for the price.

Sizing is ridiculous. I normally take a Large with Fjall Raven but Large in the Sten is absurd. Unless you are extremely thin with long arms forget this jacket. Why make an outdoor jacket so fitted. People want to wear fleeces and seaters underneath. I am returning for refund.

I concur: this is not a jacket to use in inclement weather. Also the zipper quality is very disappointing considering price point. I was expecting more from Fjallraven. Not really worth the money IMO

Bought the green sten and it started my addiction with fjallraven gear. Superb autumn and spring jacket. Hard wearing and still looks great. Goes with everything.

I’m 6’6” 194lbs and this jacket fits me really well; even with my 7’ wingspan. I got the XL. It looks good and the zippers are good quality.

Overall good light jacket, protects from wind quite good - but front zipper is terrible. Often takes a lot of jiggling to get it to zip up, and also tends to get stuck in fabric when unzipping. Nice jacket but would not expect such issues at this price point

Perfect fall/spring jacket. In my opinion a bit more fashionable compared to other tech jackets. Good water repellent and wind protection. I did find size runs a bit small. I generally wear a large in jackets and coats, but needed a XL for this.

Jacket is nice but the hood is too baggy and there is no drawcord adjustment, its a tight fit like most fjallraven jackets. I’m a 34 waist and large only just fits! It's definitely time for fjallraven to work on.. 1. Zips 2. Sizing 3. Drawcords on all hoods

Its fit is good, it certainly seems to be extremely durable, and in the light rain so far its kept me dry. It's a little lighter than I thought, and the zipper is on the left side which is a little odd, but I'm getting used to it. I'm happy with it so far.

From the moment I unfolded my new Fjallraven Men's Sten Jacket, it was clear that this was more than just another piece of outerwear—it was an ensemble of thoughtfulness and intricate craftsmanship. The color, a refined shade of brown, immediately evokes a sense of timelessness. It whispers of autumn leaves, wood cabins, and mountain trails, whilst managing to feel completely at home in an urban environment. 🍂 Material & Durability One can't discuss a Fjallraven jacket without paying homage to its legendary G-1000 fabric. This waxed material is both water-resistant and breathable. Rain or shine, this jacket has you covered—literally. I've already taken it on a couple of hiking trips and it resisted snags from branches and thorns like a champ. It's a canvas that begs for adventure. 🕶️ Style & Versatility The Sten jacket walks that fine line between casual and refined. It offers a contemporary fit that hugs the body just enough to give it shape, without restricting movement. The pocket placements are both practical and stylish. It’s a piece that will effortlessly see you from weekend camping trips to Monday meetings. 🎒 Functionality The four pockets are strategically placed and generously sized, proving that form and function are not mutually exclusive. There's a secret zipped pocket inside the jacket—perfect for keeping your wallet or phone secure. The adjustable cuffs and hem allow for customization depending on the weather, and the sturdy zipper comes with a tab that's easy to maneuver, even with gloves on. 🌱 Sustainability I was particularly impressed by Fjallraven’s commitment to sustainability. They offer a Greenland Wax made from beeswax and paraffin, which is a sustainable way to enhance the jacket's durability and water resistance. 📏 Fit & Comfort As someone who often finds it challenging to get the perfect fit, this jacket exceeded my expectations. It manages to offer room where you need it—shoulders and chest—while tapering slightly at the waist. And the fabric, though rugged, feels surprisingly soft against the skin. 🛠️ Minor Drawbacks If I had to nitpick, I'd say it's on the pricier side. However, considering its durability, style, and versatility, I see it as an investment piece that I'll be wearing for years to come. To sum it up, the Fjallraven Men's Sten Jacket in brown is not just a garment; it's a trusty companion that embraces both function and fashion. Whether you’re an adventurer at heart or simply looking for a durable, stylish piece of outerwear that can stand up to the elements, this jacket is a versatile pick that ticks all the boxes.

I’ve bought it in Dark Navy, and I like this jacket. Traditional Fjallraven durability is combined with quite a style. Although it is positioned as an outdoor jacket, onemay wear it not only on a trail, but also around a city. Besides, it is perfect for traveling due to the multiple big pockets. This makes the jacket very versatile. I’m 5’11” (180 cm) 163 lb (74 kg), and M fits me well.

I've had this for 2 years now, and I'm just now seeing any issues (zipper). This was my first item from Fjallraven, so I was new to the whole upkeep process with G-1000 materials. Understand that this is not a heavy storm/foul weather jacket. It works great for limited exposure to rain. It will keep you dry, only if you maintain the wax layer. I'm 6'1" and about 190lbs and the Medium fits snuggly, not any room for layering.
