Lightweight and convenient winter jacket in G-1000 with synthetic padding that keeps warmth in even when damp. Fixed, snug-fitting hood, several practical pockets and easily gripped details. Lightly padded jacket in G-1000 Original filled with G-Loft Supreme (145 g/sqm in body, 125 g/sqm in sleeves).
Fit & Design:
Snug-fitting, adjustable hood
Hip length with articulated cut and pre-shaped sleeves
Two-way front zipper with glove-friendly pullers
Two chest pockets and two hand pockets covered with plackets
Large inside mesh pockets
Adjustable cuffs with gussets that easily fit over a pair of gloves
I've bought this jacket with great expectation, but the result is underwhelming. I have no trouble with zipper, the design it is very functional, the two mesh pocket inside are very practical and useful. Now the negative. There is some cheap fleece inside the lower pockets on the outside, but for unknow reason this light fleece is present only on the outer side, and there is no padding between your hand and the outside fabric, so forget to keep your hand nice and warm in cold days there. Now the major weakness of jacket, the G1000 used is not even water repellant and too much "breathable with stock wax. in windy days around freezing the jacket suffer a lot to keep your warm. the wind cool off your body a lot, passing thought the jacket too much for a winter jacket. In calm day around 0 C or a bit under it is ok, but how many day in winter are dry, no wind for all the day ? at regular price it is way overpriced for the optimal use. With a good quality fleece, putting padded on the outer side of lower pockets , swapping this archaic G1000 with a modern windproof and must stronger water resistant /proof or putting at least a membrane under like with the nuuk, this jacket can be a winner. it is very stylish. Maybe a padded waterproof version ?

No Hanging Loop!
A really nice jacket, but... I’d never expect to see such a premium jacket without a hanging loop! Are we supposed to carry hangers around with us? It’s honestly the most inconvenient thing I’ve ever discovered on clothes I’ve bought...and guess what...the unpadded version which is much lighter and packable, has a hanging loop! Something else I don't really like is the velcro fasteners on the sleeves. They are bit more convenient than metallic buttons, but they are also a cheap-ish feature choice on a non-cheap product. Guess what...the unpadded version, also has buttons instead of cheap velcro fasteners. It's confusing. These are my two main complaints...and some threads that stick out in 1 place along the seam. I hope I won't find more.

Terrible Zipper In A Great Jacket
I had this jacket for 3 years and I really loved it, though I would keep it for many years, but the zipper often got stuck until it broke one day. When I got a replacement, the zipper broke in the same way again in less than a month. For such a great Jacket to have a zipper this bad is a shame, and doesn't exactly give the image of quality this brand is known for.

Great Jacket
I purchased this jacket towards the end of December. I had the opportunity to shovel snow in the cold immediately and this jacket was very warm, even in the wind. I the fit is great and very true to size. I even purchased wax for the outside of the jacket for further water and wind proofing though I have not applied the wax as of yet. It's a minor detail but the hood fits very well. It does not fall back in the wind as it stays snug once adjusted. I've had no issues with the zipper. The only odd thing is zipper clasp is on the left side as opposed to the right. It takes some getting used to but otherwise, no issues. This is a great jacket. The team in Cranberry was very helpful as the jacket was not coming up in their system right away. Their customer service was amazing.
