Central OR Elk guy
If you’re tall and slender you need these pants. I’m 6’4” 190-200lbs and the 34 long fits absolutely perfect. More comfortable than any pants ive ever worn. I wear these multiple times a week and have multiple pairs now. they can totally fit in with a collared shirt and are acceptable in most work environments. They don’t look like technical hiking pants with an elastic waistband unless you really pay attention. I also wore them for multiple elk hunts this fall and they served me very well. Still look brand new and my hunting partners Sitka pants look like the loop side of Velcro from the same brambles and granite rocks we walked through. You don’t have to wear gaiters in most swampy or wet areas because of the drawstring at the cuff. Belt loops are big enough for a thick tactical belt and have additional loops for a carabiner or hand warmer pouch. They are very water resistant, don’t gain much weight when soaked through, and dry very quickly. They pack down to almost nothing and pockets serve as very effective vents — direct airflow to the gentleman parts. Perfect pants for hunting, backpacking, climbing. If you pair with a base layer they are perfectly fine for the winter, down to 0F at least. My only criticism is that they are not good around campfires or sparks. You will get a pinhole if a tiny ember lands on them. Buy the full g1000 pants if you are gonna be around a campfire or work environment with sparks.

Bought these for a hike on Mount Ranier, and they performed exceptionally well. The weather wasn't too hot (I'm from Florida) that day, and I slipped and fell down a jagged set of rocks and they didn't tear at all, although my palm meat took a massive gash. I was honestly surprised that they held up, and the lifetime repair option was what got us to purchase them in the first place.

Pockets are a bit weird as they seem to be tight even though they’re the right size. They’re my new favorite pants. I’ve had Ken’s, Ken agile winters and Greenland pants - and now these. Hand down my favorite, they’re airy, they have belt loops (uncommon for this style of pants) three pockets, stretchy. They’re just perfect for summer. Will need to buy another pair or two of them. They’re also quite tough, gotten them snagged on a bunch of rough surfaces and no rips or tears.

I was so happy with the initial release of these pants as they offered exactly what I wanted. I own three other Fjallraven trousers but non in the new "improved fit". The fit is nothing like what was previously offered. The 32 is far too small while the 34 is far too big. Its a strange sizing. Furthermore, the waist on these pants seems to sit uncomfortably high. If these had the older fit, they would have been absolute perfection. I'm disappointed owing such an expensive pair of pants that I don't enjoy wearing.

Came on here to see what other colours there is as I’m wanting another pair of these Abisko Trail Stretch Trousers…….and ended up writing this review..!! I do already have some other items of Fjallraven gear. These are now my ‘go to trousers’ when the weather is warmer here in England. I have had these about 6 week and initially they felt too hard wearing to be cool in warm weather, in a sense that they could be too warm…….they ARE hard wearing, but great in warmer weather and so I needn’t have worried(they were ideal in the warmer weather of Madeira)..!! The stretch in them is brilliant, either when hiking or for general use. I am a men’s UK size 30” - 32” and went for the 30”. A touch ‘snug’ but how I’d personally prefer them. Right, best go back to shopping….!!!
