I bought the Kanken mini in sky blue for our newest baby boy to have as a diaper bag. It’s a good neutral blue and our fifth Kanken mini! Great size for the basics and the baby can use it as he gets older.

Long Lasting Through International Travel

I have purchased 5 of these backpacks over the years for 5 of my nieces and nephews who live in a remote location in a developing country across the world. These bags have endured 5 international journeys and countless flights/trips into the jungle, as well as the rough hands of children, ages 6 and under. They are the perfect size for young kids to wear, but also to place their needed and treasured items in for easy and independent access during long trips. My brother and his wife love the responsibility and freedom it allows their kids during their travels. But ultimately, the backpacks hold up so nicely. They aren't falling apart, they don't retain dirt, and they have been exposed to all sorts of weather and rough conditions. They will continue to be used until outgrown, then passed down to other cousins or even generations. I could not recommend this more.

Bag Is Not As Depicted

My wife received one as a gift. The straps are nothing like the photos. No smaller strap near the bottom for securing excess strap and no d-ring near the top for attaching their strap pad add ons. Will come back to edit review if the bag holds up or not. She received it as a gift from friends who have had their minis for a very long time so we will be able to compare them next time we see them. As of now though, seems like they are cheaping out on materials for their bags which is unfortunate.

Looks Like A Purse, But I Love It Anyway

I bought the classic Kånken in Foliage Green, and I absolutely love it. The colour is beautiful — subtle but still stands out. It fits my iPad Air, planner, Kånken Pen Case (the sturdy one), and a Gear Bag perfectly. All my essentials fit neatly inside, with just enough space to close comfortably. I’ve been using it for over a year now, mostly for sightseeing around the city, and it’s been incredibly practical. I’ve even joked that it looks a bit like a purse — even though I’m a man — but honestly, I don’t mind at all. It’s just that convenient and comfortable to carry. In the front pocket, I like to keep my card wallet and keys for easy access. I also added a red Kånken keyring as a little charm on the small pocket zip, which gives it a nice personal touch. It’s sturdy, practical, and just the right size for everyday use.

Worthless

Waste of money I bought the backpack on Monday and after 1 wash backpack became so stiff and color start fading . Now it looks horrible

Misleading Colour

I bought the peach pink and it is red - there's nothing pink about it. I am worried about the longevity of the colour as well, as there's already visible fading along any folds or edges of the bag right out of the package.

Abrasive straps will destroy your clothes. Not for use as a women's day bag or purse alternative. Should only be worn over coats.

Mini Kanken (Peachy Pink)

Ok, here is the deal. I bought the ox red 15-inch laptop Kanken for travel. I love it. Then I bought the frost green classic Kanken for work and the peachy pink mini for an everyday purse. To say that I am obsessed is an understatement. I love all of the backpacks, and the mini is no exception. I carry bags based on mood. The peachy pink color is an adorable, fun color for any age. I am a 63-year-old baby boomer who still works and goes to school, so I stay busy loving life. I forgot to mention that I bought the assorted Fjallraven pouches to fill up my backpack. I have the old version of the pencil case, the gear pocket, and the gear bag to organize all my things. I do recommend all of their backpacks.

Great Backpack

I got gifted this from a friend for my birthday and I have had it for a while now. It is the best backpack that I have. I also have the bigger version of this and I love how comfortable they are to carry around. I love these backpacks so much.

Straps Are Way To Short!!!!

I have wanted a kanken since I was 13, I'm now 20 and with adult money I decided to buy a kanken mini. Mainly for every day use like going shopping or for a walk. I am extremely disappointed. The straps in the pictures look so long but in reality they aren't! My boyfriend loosened them to loosest they would go for me and it was so high up my back and so uncomfortable. I'm so sad and disappointed that it didn't live up to expectations. Will be returning.
