Got these for the gym and they are great for all day wear. Super comfortable. They are not super at performance but they are also not advertised to be. Would definitely buy again.

Really good. Sticky rubber, very sticky. Heel is locked in there. Toe box is kind of tall so if you went small you could get some toe bend to make these kind of downturn-ey, but overall really good. I climbed on sandstone, limestone, and basalt on these and they work pretty well. Much better than La Sportiva Oxygyms which were my old shoe. I prefer these much more.' I got these true-to-size 9.5 and they felt pretty darn snug, given that my left foot is like 0.2 inches longer than my right ugh

I bought this instead of using gym rentals and been hitting the gym with them regularly for a few months. I have not used outside yet but seem like they will be fine there as well. A great shoe that didn't break the budget. I'm sure it's possible to outgrow the capabilities of this shoe skill wise, but I'm not even close yet so I keep rocking them. I can even smear this on the wall and get enough traction to get my next hold in difficult stretches.

I bought some rock climb shoes and even though they did not have my size they were more than happy to go online and ship some different variety of shoes! Would come back again for more products!

Got these for my brother because I wanted him to get in to climbing and so far they have been great. I did a little bit of browsing before hand and these seemed to be the best option for entry level shoes. He has only worn them outside but I imagine they would be just as great indoors as well. As for sizing, I decided to go TTS and thankfully the fit "kinda tight" which is great.

Bought these shoes to wear in the gym and or outside when not projecting. Shoe is super comfy even with my wide feet. Able to heel hook and toe hook fairly well. Good for smearing. Be warned the top toe rubber can start to peel off from dragging toe hooks.

Primarily a Gym shoe. Got a previous pair which lasted unexpectedly long. I usually go for the Italian jawns but for 60 something dollars these things are worth it. Pretty neutral. True to size in vans. Comfortable. Decent for slab, not great for aggressive over hangs. No toe protection.

I picked these out for my boyfriend as a surprise and he loved them. Great fit and great grip. When buying for newbies- it most likely wont be the same size as your street shoes.

Me and my friend both bought this shoe. He’s a 13 im climbing shoe with a long skinny foot. He loves the shoes cause the tight around his foot way better than others without to much bubble-ing cause he had a skinny foot. The only thing that gets in his way is the excess. This is why I like my foot is “bigger,” my foot fits really snug in this shoe toe to heel. The heel rubber make it very comfortable to heel hook and the soles edge is thick and sharp, while still being flexible with a break-in. Over all out of the 3 neutral climbing shoes I bought, this one is very comfortable For me along side the lace tarantulas. Which I would also highly recommend.

I wear a size 13 and my toes curl slightly in these. From what I've been reading this is a good thing. I used them in a gym for a couple hours and my feet seemed to feel alright. If you just want to dabble these are probably a good choice.

I bought this pair of shoes in the search for gym shoes that didn't leave my feet feeling crippled by the end of a session. The Defy's fit nicely and are especially kind to my wider feet. The toe box is exceptionally comfortable. I wear roughly a 10.5 to 11 in street shoes, and I went with an 11.5 for these shoes (I was wearing a pair of older Geshidos, also Evolv, at 11.5 and they were a bit aggressive on the fit) and they seem to be perfect. They may not be the highest performing shoe out there, but they do seem to toe and heel hook just fine, though when your feet start sweating they may get a bit loose and require a bit more tightening (for which the velcro works great). Overall, these are a decent shoe at a great price!

Brand new climber here and so far so good. I read some reviews and online and these were recommended as a good starting shoe. I have been climbing in them three times a week for about a month and they have been great so far!

This is my 2nd pair of evolv defy. This version the 2 velcro straps on each shoe face opposing direction so you can get the shoe extra tight on your foot. Don’t really have any other climbing shoe to compare it to but good for a beginner / intermediate climber on a budget.

Bought this as my very first climbing shoe a few months ago. I absolutely love it. It is very affordable and comfortable, the two main selling points. Performance wise, it is very moderate, great for beginners. I have gotten a little more advanced now and need more aggressive shoes, but this was a good starting place. Easy to put on and good for bouldering/top rope/lead as well as outdoors and indoors.
