I’m glad there are alternatives to lead more widely available now. I haven’t fished in a few years but now I’m teaching my kids. Initially I was concerned that the tin would be too light but by the chart I saw on another brand, it’s just one size larger for split shots. These sinkers were easy enough to close by hand but I used pliers to crimp them anyway. They will not slip on your line easily when crimped. I expect each split shot can be used several times but the tin is not as durable so it deformed rather quickly. My only real complaint is the case. It’s rigid brittle plasticis the same case for the last 60 years. It would be great if Eagle Claw used a softer plastic that can take a hit, and put number etches in the mold so you know which sizes are which for refilling. Usage note: I left the removable tab in the plastic. It slows down the flow of sinkers so you only get a couple instead of 20 at a time. Enjoy.
