The rod looks great and feels great. I took it out to fish for the second time over the weekend and it snapped miscast. I keep it stored safe, don’t let it get crushed, and I keep it in a sleeve so it doesn’t get messed up. I reached out to warranty and they wanted me to pay $70 to replace the $100 rod. Very disappointed and I won’t be buying from this brand again.

Good 100 Dollar Rod
Bought the mag heavy because it fell in a sweet spot with the 1 1/2 oz max lure weight. It feels right with that, at least, but all I've done is handle it so far yet to fish it. However I had fished a fury for years and this is comparable, minus the cork handle which wasn't great on the fury anyway. I looked at a lot of sizes of this rod. I like the guides, at least on the casting rod, and the rod is balanced and light. Has good specs for it's class as far as I'm concerned and I buy a lot of rods in this price range. I was surprised the tip had the type of flex it did, it feels right. I hadn't heard much called mag heavy, but I'm mostly a medium to medium heavy fisherman so I can't compare except to salt.
